Riviere "We Want Cup Success"

http://i40.tinypic.com/8wlisi.jpg

Paris FC manager Julien Riviere today has signaled his intentions of lifting the french cup, or at least making it to the final come the end of the season. The Frenchman was speaking during his morning conference and gave out a warning to FC Nantes, who will face Paris FC in the quarter finals.

"We will take it like the league, a game at a time. I think realistically before the season begun we knew this competition would be one we would have more of a chance of competing in, anything can happen in the cup. We face (FC) Nantes next who have a good record against us, but that means nothing. I am confident of our game plan, the clubs philosophy and the direction we are heading. The goal by the end of the season is to stay in Ligue 1 which we have done a good job so far, and reach the final of the French Cup. Our fans have been magnificent all season, I think they are the best. They deserve a day out."

Paris FC are currently high flying in the league and are further than they ever have been before in the French Cup. They will play FC Nantes away, with the winners through to a home semi final.
Hopefully you can pull off an upset and get one step closer to knocking P$G off their perch! :D

Just completed the season, Will do a 2 month update tomorrow and let you guys know how I got on!

February

A horrible month for us which seen us drop closer to the relegation dog fight. This was perhaps our worst month of the season in the league, picking up just 3 points from a possible 15. However their was a silver lining as we managed to reach the quarter final of the French Cup with an impressive 1-0 win over FC Nantes who had beaten us just a few weeks before. This meant that we would face LOSC Lille in a home semi final. I was happy with the draw and quietly confident heading into it. The league form must improve though as relegation from this league would have a huge effect on club finances, club stature and my reputation!

Paris FC are 17th, 4 points above relegation
Unlucky with the results. Good update, I'm enjoying this one. :)

AS Monaco FC vs Paris FC

AS Monaco FC 1-0 Paris FC

Moneybags Monaco piled on more pressure as our league form continues to struggle. They played on another level and the scoreline rather flattered us. It never looked like a game we would take anything out of

Paris FC vs LOSC Lille - French Cup Semi Final

http://i42.tinypic.com/5vrigm.jpghttp://i42.tinypic.com/2urupvm.png

Paris FC 0-0 Losc Lille (Paris win 5-4 on penalties)

A historic moment for the club as we battled our way to the final with a dramatic shootout victory! We were the better team in the game and I was sure that because we didn't take our chances in the 120 mins we would be punished by the spot kicks. We converted all our penalties and when they put their final one wide, the roar from the 20,000 fans was ear blowing. We will be travelling to the Stade de France on the final day of the season, with the cup final against FC Sochaux who defeated Olympique Marseille in the other semi.

Paris FC vs AS Nancy Lorraine

Paris FC 2-1 AS Nancy Lorraine
Ramare
Ramare

This result pleases me just as much as the semi final, as our main rivals for relegation are Nancy Lorraine! In this huge clash, we played some lovely football and had an inspiring performance from midfielder Ramare who carried the team to the 3 points and surely certain safety. This result meant that Paris FC were now 4 points clear of AS Nancy Lorraine, with just 2 games to go. Could they hold on?

Losc Lille vs Paris FC

http://i42.tinypic.com/2urupvm.jpghttp://i42.tinypic.com/5vrigm.jpg

Losc Lille 3-0 Paris FC

They got their revenge after being eliminated from the french cup by us. They dominated the game from the off and we looked very fatigued. What makes the result worse was that Nancy Lorraine picked up a draw to make it just 3 points with 1 game left

Paris FC vs LEMANS FC

Paris FC 2-0 LEMANS FC
Mary
Ramare

Delighted! We will be a Ligue 1 team next season! We capped off our debut season in the league with a polished performance and 2-0 win. This result not only meant we stay in the league, but we leapfrog LEMANS in the standing, giving us more prize money too. Our club stature will grow rapidly now and the finances of the club are at its greatest ever. PSG may have won the league this season but we are making strides to close the gap. We can now focus on our cup final, if we win we will play in next years Europa League! It's amazing to think how much we have progressed since I first took over, lingering in the 3rd division, and 3 seasons later, we will be playing in Ligue 1 again and have the chance of playing in Europe.

Paris FC finish 15th, with 46 points
That is a great achievement. Hopefully you can build on this and push for a top half finish next year. If you spend your money wisely then you never know what could happen.

Keep this up I enjoy reading this a lot :P

The Cup Final

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen! We welcome you today to the final of the French cup in the Stade de France where newcomers Paris FC face FC Sochaux. Both teams were outsiders before the cup began, so it will be a great achievement for either club if they can produce a win today.

We are joined by Alec Heardman and former Paris FC captain Jerome Adam. Let's join them now as the game is just about to kick off. A packed stadium of 79,000 will watch todays game.

AH - Alec Heardman
JA - Jerome Adam

1' AH - Hello and welcome to the Stade de France, the game has just kicked off with Paris FC playing from left to right. They appear in their first ever final and come into the game as underdogs while FC Sochaux have won the cup twice before

10' JA - FC Sochaux will be happy with their start, they have put Paris under some pressure and have been closing down high up the pitch forcing their opponents to hit long hopeful balls to Scarpelli. Although there has been no clear chances, Julien Riviere will be slightly concerned.

27' AH - The first big chance of the game. Some great play by FC Sochaux in midfield as Boudebouz plays a 1-2 with Privat who continued his run into the box. Boudebouz found him with a fantastic cross but Privat misses a guilt edge header from just 6 yards out. Their fans cant believe they haven't taken the lead!

38' JA - First shot of the game for Paris FC as Ramare found Scarpelli just outside the box. With little options the Vetern Frenchman pulled the trigger and dragged his shot wide, better from the Parisians.

Half Time - Paris FC 0-0 FC Sochaux

45' AH - We restart the game after a drab first 45. Paris FC have struggled in the opening half and were lucky to stay on level terms. Still no changes made by either manager.

53' JA - Oh how has he saved that? Another fantastic ball launched into the box after some patient build up Doubai found himself with a bit of space in the box and volloyed the ball to the far corner. Fabrice Aubard dived full streched across the goal and pushed the ball against the post, that could be vital!

72' AH - Paris FC are beginning to find their feet and are passing the ball around nicely. Still they have had just one shot in the game but they are getting the ball higher up and keeping it. Scarpelli had been quite but has began holding the ball up and inviting the wingers to come forward.

89' JA - Paris will be looking for the final whistle now as FC Sochaux have threw everything at them the last 5 mins. 6 shots have been fired in at Aubard's goal who has done enough to keep them out. Nail biting time right now.

Full Time - Paris FC 0-0 FC Sochaux

90' AH - Both sides bring on fresh legs, Paris FC brining on centre back Mendy whereas Sochaux look to their attacking options with another striker

98' JA - Paris are looking very tired now and are dropping deeper, it's a one sided game at the moment. Julien Riviere is urging his players to try get forward but their legs won't respond!

103' AH - Gooooooooooooaaaaalll!!!! FC Sochaux have finally taken the lead! After some intense pressure they mana...oh wait, its been flagged offside! They cant believe it their absolutely furious! Replays show in fact he was offside but that will be no consolation to the players who taught they had the cup won, perhaps this will play into the hands of LE PFC?

ET HT Paris FC 0-0 FC Sochaux

109' JA - Another good chance for Sochaux goes a begging. A shot from just outside the 18 yard box hits off the outside of the post and out for a goal kick

113' AH - Scapelli heads narrowly wide for Paris who have their first shot since the second half of normal time. In truth if it was on target it would have been saved

118' JA - Julien Riviere is with his assistant on the touch line with some notes in his hands, it looks like he is getting his penalty takers ready, they converted all their penalties in the shootout against LOSC Lille in the semi's.

122' AH - Last 30 seconds off the game and Paris have a free kick just inside the Sochaux half. Julien wants in knocked into the box. Center back Marque will take it. It is knocked long into the box and SCARPELLI!!!!!!!!!!!! Goal Goal Goal Goal Goal! Paris FC have done it! Scarpelli manages to attack the long ball in and heads it powerfully into the roof of the net and look at Riviere now! He sprints onto the pitch and dives onto the players, the fans are estatic, they have won the cup!

Paris FC lift French Cup

Paris FC have won the French Cup and in doing so, have qualified for next years Europa League. Julien Rivieres man have now been labelled "The Noisy Neighbours" and have won as much trophies as Paris Saint Germian this year.

It will be the first time in their history playing in Europe and will look to strengthen their squad as much as possible. We will be going live to the Paris manager very shortly for his reaction.
What an achievement! Congrats :D
