Fulham win the Capital One Cup final!

Today was a legendary day for both Jimmy Bullard and Fulham on a whole. For Bullard this was his first final in management, amazingly in his first season. For Fulham it was the first Capital One Cup final they had been in in the clubs history, and will be a day to go down in the history books.

Fulham took the lead when Dimitar Berbatov scored a well placed shot to round off a great team move in the seventh minute, a dream start for Fulham. However, in the 32nd minute Liverpool ST Luis Suarez scored a real poachers effort, which brought Fulham and there fans back to reality.The sides went into half-time even at 1-1.The next goal arrived to Fulham in the 56th minute, this time Bryan Ruiz scoring a tidy finish. Just 3 minutes later Liverpool had again equalised, Lucas Leiva with a well timed finish from close range. With just 22 minutes left, the decisive goal was scored, by Fulham's hero this season, Bryan Ruiz. Ruiz picked up his second of the game with accurate finish to send Fulham to Capital One Cup victory!

Fulham qualify for Champions League under first season!

After a 1-0 victory over Arsenal on the final game on the season, Fulham have finished 3rd in the Premier League, meaning they qualify for Champions League next season. Bullard has thanked all his team for there great performances throughout the season and says he hopes for more glory to arrive in the near future.

Bullard has given the following players special recognition for the clubs success -



Hoolahan gathered 11 Goals and 11 Assists last season, with a total of 6 MoTM's awarded.



Hangeland Scored 8 goals and got 1 assist, as well as being solid at the back all season. He won 8 MoTM awards. He is believed to be in high demand, with teams such as Dortmund, Arsenal & Inter interested.



Ruiz scored a total of 11 goals last season, drawn most with Hoolahan. He also collected 2 assists and 2 MoTM awards.
