13.11.12 – Saputo Stadium – Friendly
Canada v Ghana

0 – 2
Jordan Ayew (2) Majeed (72)

Review: We could have done a bit better but again we looked strong and the squad’s depth pleased me. I was very impressed with the manner in which we pressed and hassled the opposition.
Looks like Ghana has a nice habit for the early goal

GHANA MAKE STEADY PROGRESS

Ghana has moved up two spots to 32nd in the official FIFA World Rankings released today following the end of the international break.

The Black Stars had dropped one to 34th after their 1-0 defeat to Uruguay in Marcel Desailly’s first game but 3 wins in the last 3 games with a total of 11 goals scored has pushed Ghana back up.

Spain has maintained top spot with Germany in 2nd and Uruguay coming 3rd. England and Italy complete the top 5 respectively.

The rankings highest mover was Kazakhstan who moved up 18 spots to 123rd while Bermuda dropped a whole 23 spots to 132nd in the world.
Great update, 32nd for now, top of the world soon? :P
Good updates mate some good results and Ghana are on the move!
Ghana are that low down. I kind of thought that they would start a lot higher. Although I'm sure you'll take them to where I think they should be :)

GHANA SET U.S.A DATE

The Ghanaian Football Association has announced the Ghanaian national team will face the United States in preparation for the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The game will take place at Ghana’s Baba Yara Stadium on the 12th January 2013, just a week before The Black Stars’ opening game of the tournament.

The last time both the sides met on African soil, Ghana ran out winners after goals from Kevin Prince Boateng and Asamoah Gyan sent Ghana through to the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals.

Before the friendly, Ghana will also take on continental foe Madagascar away at the Stade Municipal Mahamasima on the 9th January 2013.

AYEW INJURY ROCKS GHANA

Andre Ayew has been ruled out for 3 months after a torn hamstring sustained against Stoke City at the weekend.

The Arsenal winger will miss a number of games for the ‘Gunners’ as well as the entire African Cup of Nations for Ghana.

The Black Stars boss, Marcel Desailly has shown his disappointment with the injury but remains optimistic with the news.

“Ayew is very important to us and one of Africa’s most talented stars so he will be missed. However, there is a chance for someone else to make a name for themselves.

“We have the likes of Christian Atsu and Ismael Yartey so we are not short of candidates.”

Important Announcement

I've been here before guys and thought about packing up story writing, which I did, but I decided to come back and give a shot once more and try to enjoy it. I think we all know no matter how you write, good, bad, average, if you stop enjoying it the story is over. That's basically me at the moment.

Therefore, I'll be ending both my stories and throwing away my story writing notepad. Thank you all for the support I have received and it has been a real pleasure to see people enjoying it. I just have no motivation at present time.

Thank you once again and I leave with a little song for you guys :D
