"HAMOUDI FAYAD: THE MASTERMIND BEHIND THE BEAUTIFUL PLAY OF PYUNIK"

Hamoudi Fayad did what he almost did last year, and that was winning the double. Although, Pyunik did not reach the Group Stage of the Europa League, they put up a good fight against Romanian League Runner-Up FC Vaslui in the Third QR, losing by only a goal. Until now, the Armenian country's CoEfficient is rising up to 10.500, an extra two points from the current 8.255. Back to Pyunik's glory, they only won the league with an average age of twenty-one. Inexperienced, young and talented players, Fayad has looked away from the "You can't win anything with kids" motto, and taught his kids that age is just a number.

The Youth Facilities and Junior Coaching of Pyunik have been upgraded, although their youth intake this year was said to be appalling by the manager Hamoudi.

FANS' PLAYER OF THE SEASON

The fans of Pyunik have also put in their vote for their Player of the Season and it goes to "Ghukas Poghosyan", commonly known as 'Ghuka'. He has contributed by scoring 15 goals and giving 27 assists in 35 starts and 2 substitute appearances, a great season for the 19-year old. He also had an 82% pass completion, the 27th best passer in the league, along with 81% of tackling, and contributing to 3 tackles per game. Pyunik have won 81% of their games with him on the pitch, which means that he has won 30 out of the 37 games he had played this season.

Finally, this means that Pyunik are in the 2014/2015 Champions League Second Qualifying Round, can they upset the odds, and more importantly, repeat their fantastic double?
