Spain vs Georgia - World Cup Qualifier

i must say i was very impressed with Georgia's determination and grit in our recent match, though they didnt really come to attack Georgia still managed to take an early lead and attempt to " park the bus " but it came undone when Torres slipped in behind the defence and slotted in from close range, Fernando Llorente was again the hero for spain as he came off the bench and scored an absolute bullet that was to good for the Georgian goalkeeper

here a look at how the 2 teams lined up and overall match summary.
once again im very pleased with how we dominated the match from start to finish but still wasting chance after chance in front of goal. might be time to finally give Llorente a start and see him produce the goods
Fernando Llorente has been in outstanding form thus far for the Spanish national side banging in 3 goals in as many games although coming off the bench in 2 of these games. with David Villa injured and Torres struggling for first team action at Chelsea Llorente might be thrown straight into the Starting XI. despite his obvious height advantage he is also very good technically and can finish quite well so im more than happy to give him the nod
You dominated Georgia, but its a pity you only won by the single goal :/
When is the game against France?
@ justice. - yeah we seem to be dominating our matches just
having trouble finding the back of the net

@ sonalexwild - our match against France is on the 16th October in our next round of fixtures
Swanston announces squad
Shane has named a somewhat inexperienced squad for the upcoming game against france bringing in Dani Carvajal, Jose Angel, Inigo Perez, Isco and Victor Ruiz but i have full trust in there abilities especially after some very impressive performances for the respective club sides

France vs Spain - World Cup Qualifier

all i gotta say is what a boring game that was, France and Spain seemed to cancel each other out with only 2-3 clear cut chances coming in the match
both sides will be happy with a draw though that still gives the two group favourites an unbeaten start to the campaign

and here is the group as it stands.. and with 5 games still to play for spain i think where perfectly poised to qualify for the world cup and avoid the playoffs
France are top of the group!!! Yay :P

It's funny the number of shots they got against you as it look like they didn't have the ball :/
