Hi again, what can you tell us after 10 days of rest and Rijeka derby?

Well, i think most players are happy because of rest, we had games aproximetly every three days so some fixture i was not able to rest all players and make big rotatiton's. However we didnt take too much rest because we have more games coming in. We have first Rijeka, than Basel two day after that, RNK Split again two days after Basel, then for two days Slaven Belupo and Croatian Cup with Medjimurje. So in overall this ten days rest will mean not too much for us because we know facing a games in which some of them most win. I know my players, they want to make something out of Championship Cup but when i seen group it's too much for us. I can put all my best players against Basel and i can expect defeat or pray for one point but players showed against Chelsea that thay can do something and notify me that so i decided to rest all key players before Basel because i want them give a chance to show what they can do. If you ask me it will be very hard but if i must chose weakest team in our group before us than its a Basel. Problem, Basel has won Chelsea and they played 1:1 with OM. So its mess. We watched replays of Basel and it looks like that they are great team but they lost against Thun at home 0:2 in Super League and they must be ready in legaue just like Cup which they will play in Saturday, if i will found time i will sure go there to look game but i am sure Yakin knows his team well, he is a good manager and will not give us 3 point easy, so is it possible we have to wait and see.

So what do you expect on Kantrida?

Well, they are playing very good, nobody can say they are second in leauge right now because no reason, in fact if you check out their injured players like Danijel Cesarec and goalkeeper Ivan Mance out for almost one week, Cesarec more its sure they are very determined and its showing that Kek is doing excelent job.

How will you aproach game?

As i said i will rest most of key players and try to get something from the game, if you ask me for tactic we will attack there because keeping possesion or counter attack looks almost imposible to play against Rijeka, they are doing very very good job in defence and mid, Bruno Furlani and Kris Jogan showed that they can score any game, it will be hard game and if you ask me, much more harder than Hajduk where we played with all important players and in this scenario its not the case.

What do you say about Kek and his statements before game?

Well, to be honest i do not belive media who wroted that he will defend. We had much more sources which are saying that Kek will look for 3 points. He also stated that he will not give me a chance for take away points so for team in second place even if they gone down a goal they can go back into game. This will not be boring game and that is for sure.

You where noticed on many Croatian international games, do you looking for players or you like to look Croatian team?

I could say both. I never miss Croatian international games because many of my players playing there and i need more strenght in squad. So we could say both, yes.

What can you say us about morale in team right now?

Well they are all motivated and things looking good but we have problem because Pivaric is injured, Sodini, Sare and now Leko Mamić. So its clear that i will have problems at back because i will not be in position to rotate too much. Players will need to go jaded in some games and that is my primary problem now. Positive is that Bostaj is back, he doing very good no mater what game we play.

Many people belive that game at Kantrida could give them advantage to take title in legaue, is that true?

Yes, and i am prepared for that scenario if happens. We must not lose ourself if we lose against them because second problem can come from Basel and then there are 3 more important matches. So this game can change many things but as i sayed i am prepared and will do all to secure players do not lose their head. We have great squad and i dont want to lose title if we lose one or two games in row.

Do you think than that you are betting with putting key players on rest?

Yes, it is some kind of bet, but lets say we take points to Basel than we get nothing, we must not forget that there are Chelsea and OM in our group and for me we are still outsiders. So, if we take points from Basel then we will need to repeat that because after that with some miracle we can find third place in group and go in UEFA. However you look, all outside Croatian legaue and Croatian Cup means more rotating and more rotation because of fitness and that is problem. I want to do great things with Dinamo, not to destroy it because of games where we are not favorites at all. I repeat, i do not want to go against players, if they belive thay can do something i must work with them too.

Do you still looking for new goalkeeper?

Yes, that is true, we need more quality in the back and my first choise is Blazevic which is interested and probably we will buy him soon.

Rijeka started nice in league and beaten Istra 2:1 and Zadar 3:1 while also win Dudelange 4:0 away and 8:0 home (EURO cup 2nd Qual). After that they lost against Trabzonspor with 0-3 at Kantrida and 0:1 away, in the Midlle was Dinamo who take three points with 4:1 score on Kantrida. After that they beat Osijek with 1:0 with late 89' minute Tomecak nice goal. Against Hajduk at home they lost 2:1 in almost even game. Then again with one goal losed away against Split 2:3.

There was nice results after that wining Slaven Belupo, Cibalia with 3:1 and 4:2. They edged 1:1 with Lokomotiva away on Maksimir and then won Hr. Dragovoljac with 3:2.

After that they played Croatian Cup against Lokomotiva again and lost in 95' minute.

Then there was great game at home against great Inter Zapresic who taken 3 points in match with 9 goals, 5 for Inter.

Istra and Pamic also take one point on Kantrida with score 1:1

Last match in Zadar they take 3 points with Burlani only scorer in 48 minutes.

Rijeka will now wait Dinamo. The first match against Dinamo they lost 4:1 and it should be game where they prove that they can go even more up. Kek is playing mind games while Dinamo boss sayed that he will rest some first team playera because of Basel who they expecting two days after Rijeka.

HNK Rijeka 2-1 GNK Dinamo (First Division)

Rijeka continued their prolific campaign with a 2-1 win over Dinamo at Kantrida.

Striker Bruno Furlan gave HNK Rijeka the lead with a header in the 18th minute. Experienced centre-back Mato Neretljak doubled HNK Rijeka's lead with a fine header from point-blank range on 28 minutes.

Midfielder Sammir's 45th minute strike proved the only consolation for GNK Dinamo.
