October 2016

Everton 6 - 1 Newcastle
MANOLO GABBIADINI! Five goals in 57 minutes, and the first 10.0 rating I've ever seen the game give!
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Everton 2 - 1 Hull
Manolo Gabbiadini strikes once again, picking up both goals for Everton. Hull converted a penalty but it wasn't enough.
Player of the Match: Fininho (Everton)

West Ham 3 - 1 Everton
Freakin' two Terrence Boyd goals off of corner kicks, man!
Player of the Match: Anton Putsila (West Ham)

Liverpool 1 - 2 Everton
Manolo Gabbiadini gets his fourteenth goal of the season, and Fininho scores off a corner kick to get a surprise victory in the Merseyside Derby.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Premier League Table

If you love goals, Everton is the team to watch this season. I'm sure we're very popular with the neutrals.

November 2016

Everton 1 - 1 Manchester United
Manolo Gabbiadini took the lead with an audacious lob over David de Gea from way outside the penalty box, but Axel Witsel equalized with a laser blast from distance.
Player of the Match: Sandro (Manchester United)

Everton 2 - 0 Fulham
Rob Reddy took the lead for Everton after a nice team move, and Gianluca Caprari scored after Gabbiadini's shot was tipped overhead by the Fulham keeper and Caprari got to it first, with an empty net at his mercy.
Player of the Match: John Stones (Everton)

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 - 0 Everton
Everton were ahead on points but couldn't land the knockout blow as the forward players were more interested in popping off long shots and Wolves disrupted the flow of play by persistently fouling.
Player of the Match: David Davis (Wolves)

Norwich 2 - 2 Everton
A bad backpass by Leon Mason gets intercepted by Nicklas Helenius for the easy goal and almost the victory.
Player of the Match: Nicklas Helenius (Norwich)
Injury Update: Rob Reddy suffered fractured ribs and will be out 4-6 weeks.

Everton 1 - 1 Tottenham
Both Gareth Bale and Senne Schoeters scored on corners, and I lost both wingers to injury after using all three subs.
Player of the Match: Yuto Nagatomo (Tottenham)

- Alessandro Ponte from Torino for 675K.
- Batista has been granted a conditional work permit and has been signed from Flamengo for 725k.

Premier League Table

Despite the satisfaction of the board and the fans, I feel like we're underachieving.
Well 9th isn't too bad, keep going! :P
9th isn't great but not bad, keep it up mate

December 2016

Sheffield Wednesday 1 - 2 Everton
Luca Garritano cleaned up Gabbiadini's scraps to secure the gamewinning goal.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Panagiotis Tachtsidis suffered a calf strain and will be out 3 weeks.

Everton 1 - 1 Southampton
Manolo Gabbiadini took the lead with his 18th goal of the season. Gaston Ramirez equalized when Nicola Leali failed to secure the ball when he came out for a ball, giving Ramirez an empty net.
Player of the Match: Inigo Martinez (Everton)
Injury Update: Fininho and Gabbiadini were banged up and substituted, but thankfully they weren't injured. Krychowiak suffered a knock and played the full 90, but further analysis showed he has a twisted knee and will miss 2-3 weeks.

Brighton and Hove 1 - 2 Everton
Leonardo Ulloa took the lead for Brighton with a powerful shot from outside the box. Bryan Cristante poached a low cross from Gabbiadini for Everton's first goal, and he scored the game winner when a cross intended for Gabbiadini instead lobbed the keeper into the net.
Player of the Match: Bryan Cristante (Everton)

Everton 3 - 0 Reading
Manolo Gabbiadini got up to 20 goals as he converted a penalty and got fed a through ball into the box which he finished from close range. He also had an assist, sending a free kick into the box for Fininho who headed it into the goal.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Stoke 3 - 1 Everton
We didn't play well, but no shame in losing to the team who went top of the table with this win, pending the result of Manchester United's game in hand.
Player of the Match: Victor Wanyama (Stoke)

Everton 1 - 0 Manchester City
Gabbiadini got clean on goal to score his 21st goal of the season, and the win was sealed when James Rodriguez bottled a shot wide in the closing seconds. Everton limited Manchester City to five shots, and zero on target, with a three man defensive line.
Player of the Match: Panagiotis Tachtsidis (Everton)

- Nikao from Sport Recife for 300K. The transfer will go through June 2017.
- Ruben Sobrino from Getafe for 1.1 million. The transfer will go through June 2017.
- Antonio Rogerio has secured a work permit and he has been bought from Santos for 550K. The transfer will go through August 2018.
- Popo from Cruzeiro for 3.9 million. He will join on January 1, 2017.

Premier League Table

If we can convert more of those draws to wins, and make a run in the second half of the season, we'll definitely be in play for continental football next season.
Going strong in the Prem, much better than in the past anyway :) Gabbiadini is such a tank! :D

January 2017

West Brom 4 - 2 Everton
Between fatigue, international callups, and right wingers gifting West Brom shots on goal with bad passes, it was just a terrible outing.
Player of the Match: Shane Long (West Brom)

FA Cup Third Round
Everton 2 - 0 Swindon
As well as Everton played, Swindon should feel lucky to only lose by two goals.
Player of the Match: Gianluca Caprari (Everton)
Injury Update: Panagiotis Tachtsidis suffered a twisted knee and will miss 3-4 weeks.

Everton 1 - 0 Chelsea
Everton wins it for Everton with an 89th minute goal! He headed in a corner kick that provided the shock victory over Chelsea! It was surprising that the game was so low scoring since both teams only had three defenders and no wing backs.
Player of the Match: John Stones (Everton)

Ipswich 0 - 3 Everton
Ipswich was just Ipswich today, helpless as Manolo Gabbiadini broke through for two goals and servicing Rob Reddy for Everton's third goal.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

January 11: Senne Schoeters suffers a twisted knee and will be out 2-3 weeks.

FA Cup 4th Round
Hull 1 - 3 Everton
Leon Mason ran the show today, picking up two goals and sending Rob Reddy through for a third.
Player of the Match: Leon Mason (Everton)

Newcastle 1 - 3 Everton
Gabbiadini had two goals by the 9th minute, but was shut out for the rest of the game. It was enough of an impact to win the game, however. Leon Mason added a third goal to seal it. He was intended to be a winger but is excelling at deep lying forward where he is playing due to injuries.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)
Injury Update: Leon Mason suffered a twisted knee and will miss 2-3 weeks.

Everton 2 - 1 Arsenal
Despite starting a 17 year old kid as one of my center backs, despite the team overall being tired, despite Manolo Gabbiadini being worn down and forced to sub out, and despite Nicola Leali almost gifting Theo Walcott the equalizer, we beat Arsenal!
Player of the Match: Olivier Giroud (Arsenal), for his fantastic effort in tying up the score at 1-1.

- Nicusor Stanciu from Chelsea on a Bosman. He will join on July 1, 2017.
- Paul Bamba from AJ Auxerre on a Bosman. He will join on July 1, 2017.
- Loic Hourcade from Girondins Bordeaux on his first professional contract. He will join on July 1, 2017.
- Erik Lamela from Valencia for 15.75 million. Sometimes you gotta splash the cash.
- Enzo Phillipe has been signed from PSG for 1.7 million.

- Neal Maupay to West Ham for 5 million. Nice profit off of a free transfer, and he wasn't going to be breaking in to the first eleven any time soon.
- Ryan Bertrand to Reading for 4 million. With our new system, he wasn't seeing the field, and he's not good enough at left winger to crack the first eleven there. Plus, he's approaching 30.
- Vladimir Balic to Sheff Wed on loan until the end of the season for first-team football.
- Isaac Cuenca to Ipswich for 1.5 million, with Everton obliged to pay him 18,250 p/w until the expiry of his old contract in June 2018.

Premier League Table

IF our run of form keeps up, and Erik Lamela provides a boost from the right wing, we will have a chance at continental football next season!
Looking good! Keep it up you've changed Everton a lot since you took over them while they were in a relegation fight :D
Brilliant results! Shame about the West Brom game but clearly a brilliant recovery, with fantastic wins over Arsenal and Chelsea :) Time to press on for that Champions League spot!
Nice transfers too, Lamela is great and Hourcade will be a star :)

February 2017

Everton 1 - 1 West Ham
Everton were lucky to take the lead with Fininho's strike, and they were also unlucky to lose the 3 points when Terence Boyd equalized for West Ham.
Player of the Match: John Stones
Injury Update: Panagiotis Tachtsidis suffered a fractured wrist and will be out 6-7 weeks.

February 8: Grzegorz Krychowiak suffered a torn calf muscle and will miss 3 to 4 months.

FA Cup 5th Round
Southampton 1 - 1 Everton
It sucked to lose our lead, but we did well to force a replay at home. Dentinho and Popo both made their debuts for Everton today, and Erik Lamela made his first start.
Player of the Match: Rafael Rivas (Everton)

February 16: Bryan Cristante suffered a sports hernia and will be out 4-5 weeks.

Hull 1 - 1 Everton
Manolo Gabbiadini skinned two defenders and fired in a laserblast of a ball for Everton's goal, but Popo's foul in the box and Serge Ribas's penalty equalized. Otherwise, both defenses were very solid.
Player of the Match: Corry Evans

Manchester United 3 - 1 Everton
Our first loss since the West Brom game, and Jose Mourinho's squad took us over its knee and spanked us good. We thought we were bad, scoring first when a Manchester United player bounced a ball off Gabbiadini and it landed at Erik Lamela's feet, giving him an easy opportunity for his first goal. Danny Welbeck equalized shortly after. Andre Ayew took the lead for Man U shortly after, and despite Man U's dominance on the ball, it was close until Danny Welbeck headed his second goal in in stoppage time.
Player of the Match: Danny Welbeck (Manchester United)

- Aliaksandr Zhavnerchik has been granted a work permit and has been signed from Levante for 200k.

Premier League Table

Not winning means not advancing up the table, but we're still within two wins of passing Arsenal.
#COYS!! But good luck with the next few months, hope you do well :)
Best of luck developing your new signing!

You'll catch those gunners eventually!

Stoke is playing out of their skin in your league wow!

Keep up the great work, it's great to read your updates, your layout is great. Makes it that much easier to read. Best of luck

March 2017

FA Cup 5th Round Replay
Everton 4 - 2 Southampton
Everton dominated this game, with Manolo Gabbiadini scoring a first half hat trick and Erik Lamela adding a goal in stoppage to make it 4-1 at halftime. Tucudean added a consolation goal, but it was clear Everton dominated.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

FA Cup Quarterfinal
Everton 4 - 1 Sunderland
Sunderland's desperation was apparent as two of their players picked up red cards during the match. James McClean picked up a red for going in late on Erik Lamela, and late in the match, Jose Fonte was sent off for a professional foul on Manolo Gabbiadini just outside the penalty box.
Player of the Match: Luca Garritano (Everton)

March 10: Portland Timbers defeat Chivas 4-3 on aggregate in the CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinal, advancing past that stage for the first time in four CCL appearances!

Everton 2 - 2 Liverpool
Every time Everton scored, Luis Suarez would pull it back level with a nice goal. Everton had the last chance to break the tie, but Gibson played a ball too long for Rafael Rivas after a corner kick attempt.
Player of the Match: Luis Suarez (Liverpool)

March 16: Lucas Walbrecq suffered a torn calf muscle while playing for Belgium and will miss 3 months.

March 20: George Green strained his calf during training and will miss 3 weeks.

Everton 0 - 5 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Defenders played like crap, kept letting Celso Borges in behind them.
Player of the Match: Celso Borges (Wolves)

- Mike O'McCallaghan from Swansea for 85,000 pounds. He's worth a LOT more but he was unhappy and Swansea tranfer listed him on the cheap.

Premier League Table

Our poor form has sent us tumbling down a little bit, but we are still in with a chance for the FA Cup.
Got a nice squad together right now. That defeat to Wolves hurt though didn't it?
I saw some decent results, then BAM! 5-0 defeat to Wolves. Ouch.
