Derby 1 - 5 Everton
Everton supporters can finally take last season's 4-1 thrashing by Derby out of their mouths! Even though Derby is a lesser team, it was a great performance for Everton to score 5 goals against them. Viktor Fischer was the man of the match, scoring two goals. Manolo Gabbiadini also had a goal and two assists. Shun Kawai had a goal before being substituted due to an injury.
Player of the Match: Viktor Fischer (Everton)
Injury Update: Shun Kawai will miss three weeks with a twisted ankle. Hopefully he'll be back by the Champions League match against PSG.
George Green suffered a sports hernia in training and will miss 4 weeks.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 2 Everton
On any other day, Everton would have comfortably won this game, due to goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey's incredible play, making many amazing saves as Everton kept banging on the door. Indeed, Everton were lucky to secure a draw after falling 2 behind early. Fininho looked to have a winner in stoppage time, but it wasn't to be.

Champions League Group F
Everton 1 - 3 Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain's red might have convinced the average fan that the minions of Hell had converged upon Goodison Park, but even worse, it was Manolo Gabbiadini's fellow Italian striker, Mattia Destro, who dominated the game with a brace. Gabbiadini pulled one back for Everton, and they looked to come back into it, but substitute defender Renato Dell'Oglio committed a questionable penalty call, giving Romelu Lukaku the goal that put it away on a penalty. Nathan Limior was warned by UEFA after going off on the officials for the penalty call.
Player of the Match: Mattia Destro (Paris Saint-Germain)
Everton 0 - 3 Manchester United
This time Manchester United blew us out of the park with setpieces, with goals indirectly and directly coming off free kicks.
Player of the Match: Alvaro Vadillo (Manchester United)
Capital One Cup 3rd Round
Everton 2 - 0 Arsenal
It's tough to get shots past world-class keeper Wojciech Sczcesny, but it's tougher for even someone like him to save a penalty, which he didn't do when Aaron Ramsey conceded a penalty which Manolo Gabbiadini scored for his 100th goal for Everton across all competitions. Arsenal fans may have felt hard done by the referee, as both Lorenzo Crisetig and Neymar both had goals disallowed for being offside. Shun Kawai poached Gabbiadini's rebound to seal the win for Everton, knocking Arsenal out of the Capital One cup two years running.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)
Injury Update: Unfortunately, Everton paid the price for this victory, losing Rob Reddy for 2-3 months to a torn hamstring, and Shun Kawai for 5-6 weeks to a broken arm. Losing Reddy is huge since we don't really have a box to box who can compare to him.
Everton 2 - "2" Arsenal
A game that Everton looked to win was stolen by the officials when Neymar's first goal was inexplicably allowed despite being blatantly offside. Neymar scored his "second" (first) goal shortly after, stealing two points away from Everton, and the fans voiced their displeasure.
Player of the Match: Keiichi Sakamoto (Everton)

Premier League Table
We're exactly .500 with 2 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws, but there's still 32 games left to get things back on track.
Champions League Group Stage
We're also not doing so not here, but it's one game. The margin for error is obviously much thinner here, so we need to get it together.
