"I am pleased that we had 2 nominations for this award. To me, we played the best football in the league and the players need to be recognize to help the morale and keep the momentum up. Players like Nemanja and Carrick deserve these types of awards to show how important they are to the team. Without them we wouldn't be where we are now and they are extremely underrated when looking at our squad on paper. "The goals we scored were team goals so I have no qualms about not having many in the top goals list. Cleverley did score a nice goal so it is good for it to be recognized even though he is on loan at PSG at the moment to get some vital experience at a top club." - Ruud

"I would have liked more of our youngsters like Ward-Prowse, Chalobah, Stephan, Mattia, Shaw, Zaha to have been in with a shout. The fact that I can name you all of these players who are starting for a club as big as ours shows that they deserves award in their own rights. I would like to tell them not to give up hope and that they will soon be amongst the awards. The fact that they are all starting for such a notorious club should help them to mentally cope with it because they all feel humbled by the opportunities they have been given" - Ruud

"The boycott continues. I cannot believe what is going on. I have won every competitive fixture since joining this club, 9 matches to be precise. There are no draws, no losses in there - just wins. How much longer they can overlook me I do not know, but if three managers with a 75% win rate can be in the top three, then why is a manager with a 100% win rate not in there." - Ruud
