2013-08-06 17:06#125879 Justice : Unlucky on losing that game against Forest, but I know you will soon find your feet with Walsall within the coming weeks :)

With the quality upfront I hope so...maybe I need to bring in an experience Keeper between the sticks instead of relying on Two young goalkeepers

Todays matchs sees Walsall take on struggling side Portsmouth at Bescot Stadium, this should be an easy 3 points for my side as I have a very solid team, but as they are new it will take them awhile for them to gel and know how each other play, we will see what happens

Full Time:

Not a result I was looking for I would of atleast wanted to win this game by 2 goals to 0, but this hasn't happened I'm not too impressed with the result, with new signing Sam Johnstone in goal, the pressure was on him to show what he is made of with the hype at Manchester United, I will give him a chance to be my first choice goalkeeper, but if results don't improve I am going to have to find a experience Goalkeeper in January

Next Match:

Skybet League One against Crewe at Alexandra Stadium

Player Of The Month

Johnny Russell

For the Second consecutive month my star striker Johnny Russell, has won the players choice at Walsall F.C, he has been in superb form so far since signing from Dundee United, with his tally slowly growing in his debut season in League One, I hope he can carry on and getting me the goals to get this struggling League One side into the Play-Offs.

Being knocked out of The Capital One Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy in the first rounds is a massive dent to the morale of the team, as I thought we could make it further in each competition, the only chance we have of going through each round, is now the FA Cup, who we will be drawn again Low League opposition in Bromley at Hayes Lane in the First Round of this years F.A Cup

Johnny Russell, what a player. My mate's a Derby fan, and won't shut up about him, so it's good to see him do well for you :)

Yeah well worth the money, he has scored more since these updates, I got a couple of months of updates to do...they will be up shortly
Two Johnny Russell comments above me? I'll make it three in a row. Good month for him and you. Kick on and do some good with Walsall!

Not doing great but you're through to the next round of the cup and you can build upon that. Hopefully you can turn your league form around too. What does the league table look like right now? :)

Huddersfield v Blackpool
West Brom v Millwall
Liverpool v Man City
Peterborough v Newcastle
Norwich v Fulham
Northampton or Carlisle v Chelsea
Sheffield Wednesday v Arsenal
Manchester Utd v Sheffield Utd
WALSALL v Burnley
Tough draw! I hate Burnley, so good luck :D
