This is my second story on Football Manager after the success of my Blue Moon Rising story, So I hope to emulate that and bring success to my local team and the team I support Walsall Football Club. I won almost everything in my Man City but my save got corrupted and lost the save and had to sadly finish doing the story :(

So my aim for this story is to get Walsall into the dizzy heights of the Premier League where we have never been, To start off with I want to get us away from this relegation dogfight we have been in the past few seasons and I want to pull away from that and work my way up the table and get to the Championship again, its been 11 years since we was last there.

Walsall's history -
Walsall FC were founded originally in 1888 known as Walsall Town Swifts after the amaglation of Walsall Town and Walsall Swifts.
They are also one of the founding memebers of Division Two in 1892, they have spent their entire existence outiside English football's top division, Their highest league finish was 6th in Division Two in 1898-99.

Walsall moved to Bescot Stadium also known as Banks's Stadium in 1990 due to the demolition of their old ground Fellows Park as it was shut down due to safety reasons, has now been replace by Superstore Morrisons.

Walsall will be using the strip in 2013/14 season to celebrate the 125th annivesary of the Club

Walsall moved in to the Bescot Stadium in 1990 and expanded one of those stands since they have been there! When the home stand was expanded in , It was originally called The Gilbert Alsop Stand, and has had many name changes in the past like Floors 2 Go stand, Tiles 4 Choice.

Walsall are right next to the M6 motorway, if you drive down the M6 you can see the Walsall Ground on your right or left hand side! Walsall make their money through their own Sunday Market and through having successful business ideas in the Bonser Suite.

Walsall's 2012/13 kit is all Red with a think white strip down either side of the shirt and white shorts and red socks, and away kit is white with, black and white socks and white shorts.
Good luck :)
Good Luck!!!
thanks guy

Breaking News in Npower League One

Walsall Football Club has announced that current manager Dean Smith has been relived of his duties as first team boss and will his contract will be cancelled within the next 48hours and current board room members Stefan Gamble and Jeff Bonser will discuss who will be in the frame for the Walsall Post:

Front Runners for the job are as follows:

Mick McCarthy - Has local connections to the Midlands is ex-Manager of rivals side Wolverhampton Wanderers

Steve McClaren - Ex-Middlesbrough and England Manager who is also in the running for the job, nowadays you can't be too picky with what job comes up, and with his experience in higher leagues and in Europe also this could be a good acquisition to Walsall FC.

Roy Keane - The ex-Ipswich and Sunderland manager is also in the running, although not on the lips of the Walsall fans, he has people in high places, like Sunderland and Manchester United, which could help swirve the way of bringing in young players to gain first team experience.

Mark Kinsella - Also very local to the Midlands as he has played for a few local rivals in West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa, he has also played in the colours for Walsall and was a very key player for the midfield side a few years ago, knows the ex manager and chairman very well so could also be a close favourite for the vacancy.

Craig Blick - This young man is completely new to the game as he hasn't any experience in any football. Would this be the man that Walsall want as their manager and see what he can bring to the squad and football club.

We will see in due course would will be the front runners for the Walsall managers position.
Good luck mate! Walsall are the second closest team to me after Hednsesford, should be interesting:)
thanks BaggiesJames

Chief Executive Roy Whalley today has announced today that all the contenders for the Walsall job will be interviewed today, Walsall will be looking to improve from a bad couple of seasons fighting relegation, this vastly needs to be improved as we need to cement a mid-table position and improve on that season by season.

Fans have called for Money to be spent this season and not being left with the smallest budget in League One as everything goes into Mr.Bonsers Cyprus Fund, Walsall havent payed a large sum of money since Portuguese forward Jorge Leitao joined the club for 175,000 over 10years ago now,

"Dancing Kev" tweeted that Walsall really need to start investing in the team and bring in more players with experience, he would rather see Walsall be a buying team rather than a selling team, as we have seen some quality players come through the ranks, we need to invest more into the youth system aswell, we have had past players like Scott Dann, Matty Fryatt,Troy Deeney and Dean Keates come through the fantastic youth set-up"

Former Walsall and England striker Paul Merson thinks that Jeff Bonser needs to sell up while he can because he isn't doing anything for Walsall with not pumping money into the Squad, he also said, "how can Walsall be a force in League One and not struggling to stay in this league."

He also had to say that Mr.Bonser should listen to offers for the club as this is the best future for Walsall and see them get back into the Championship again as its been so long since they were in there!!!

14th July 2012

Walsall Director Stefan Gamble has called for a Press Conference at 2pm to speak about the recent rumours of takeover bids from consortiums..

Welcome to todays Press Conference.
As you may have seen in the recent papers that a couple of consortiums have been saying that they are interested in acquiring this football club, I can come out now and say this is just rumours, me and Mr.Bonser haven't received anything about this, Mr.Bonser has reiterated that he doesn't want to sell this club as he loves this club and wants to make in successful, he also stated that he isn't looking for anything less than £25million for this club, as also they would need to acquire the land also so its becomes private.

I will be taking questions of this situation!

Michael Prince from FMScout news:
I have seen this in the recent local newspapers and see the a couple of people have came out wanting this club, what will happen if someone comes out and actually bids for this club, will Mr.Bonser be looking to talk with these mystery consortiums?

Stefan Gamble:
Well, we will need to wait and see what will happen with these rumours and if they become true, and one of these rumoured consortiums comes forward and puts in a bid for this club, as I stated at the start of the conference that Mr.Bonser wants £25million for this club, so a wealthy businessman will need to come forward and bid, because I don't want to see someone come in and mess this club up as you have seen in other clubs lately, like Portsmouth and Coventry City!!

Chris Kamara from SkySports:
Will Mr.Bonser be giving any funds to Walsall F.C this season as they already have the lowest budget in the League. As the squad needs to be vastly improved to push up the table and become a mid-table team!

Stefan Gamble:
Well, Mr.Kamara,
I can't tell you what Mr.Bonser will offer the new manager of this club when he is announced in due course, but I feel it could be the best budget for this club in awhile and maybe we could see the £175,000 we spent on Jorge Leitao be broken with a quality player.

Michael Prince (Again):
Most of you squad will probably be out of contract at the end of the season who will be dealing with the players contracts while you are looking for a manager currently?

SG:
Well, Michael;
I myself and Mike Kearns will be looking at seeing which players we will need to sign up for the next few seasons and which players we will not decide, I know that definetly that we will need to keep the youth on our side so will be offering deals to Jamie Paterson and George Bowerman, also The Chamber Brothers are also a major part of this team as they have vast experience in higher league football with our local rivals West Bromwich Albion! Also we will be looking to offering our Club Captain and Player of The Season winner Andy Butler. Will also be looking to bringing in a few old names within the backroom staff, With Richard O'Kelly and David Kelly to become Assistant Manager to our New Manager.
Nice update mate! I knew something was going to happen regarding a takeover
