It's been known for quite a while that Ittihad Alexandria would win the league title for the second consecutive year, but today, the final day of the season, they were finally handed their trophy. The final day didn't look like it was quite going to go to plan though. The side were already slightly disheartened from loosing the game before in the league, preventing them from having an unbeaten season.
So, their final game of the season was against Al-Gaish, who at this point were lying in 12th. However, in only the 13th minute Earnest Papa Arko scored a close range effort to round off a good team move. If things weren't bad enough for Ittihad, it only took 8 minutes for Earnest to get his second, this time Finessing it into the top right corner from the edge of the box.
But, Ittihad came back....
In the 76th minute, Ittihad's 15 year old wonderkid Mohamed Abdel Fadil scored a tap in from a cross, 2-1. In the 83rd minute, Top striker Oumar Dicko scored a power shot from just in the box into the right side of the net. Score tied. 2-2. Now, Ittihad knew they had control, and if any team had the capability to make this comeback happen, it'd be Steve Kean's side. 88th minute, game on. Dicko, running down the left. This is the chance, just a good cross and this game was Ittihad's. And that's just what came. Straight to the front post, and who was there to nod it home for he perfect finish?? Eneramo was. 3-2, game over...
