We carried on our winning form with a 4-1 win over FC Dallas, which then continued into two straight wins over New England. After a tricky few days with the training ground spat, it was good to see the squad not let that effect their performances. A US Cup final tie against Philadelphia is a good tie, and I am looking forward to it. The winning form continued with a San Jose 2-1 home win, unfortunately our next game resulted in a 0-0 draw, but we're still unbeaten.

Our second consecutive draw came about against Houston, but saw the start of Fox's era at the club. He put in a good performance in what turned out to be a rather good game of football. We found our winning form again soon after with a 3-2 victory away to Los Angles. I was a bit annoyed that we had conceded 2 goals in the first 2 games of this month, but I found the positives and moved on. The next game brought about the Seattle performance that I remember seeing at the start of the season, with a dominant 4-0 win over FC Dallas, a game which saw a wonderful Eddie Johnson hat-trick. The next game followed in the same manner with a 3-0 win at home to DC United. DC didn't impress, and we really should have put 4 or more past them. Then Real Salt Lake brought us crashing back down to earth with a hard 3-1 defeat away from home. Amongst the many negatives in that game, it also saw Danny Fox's first goal for the club, striking in a free kick from just outside the area.

Danny Fox's debut month has been nothing short of magical. He has put in consistently good performances, and contributed with his first goal in 2 or 3 years. This all makes him my Player of the month.

We were still top, but only just. Goal difference kept up there by a fingernail. All eyes were soon to leave the league, as we prepared for the US Cup final.

"4 - Ochoa meets the ball with his head, but the goal was ruled out for a foul on his marker.
"7 - Ochoa finds himself one-on-one with the keeper, and slots home comfortably. 1-0 Seattle.
"17 - Ochoa gets put through again, but the defender pressured well and Ochoa's shot could only hit the post.
"21 - Soumare comes off worse in a 50/50 challenge with Danny Fox, medical attention needed.
"23 - Shalrie Joseph feeds through a perfectly weighted ball for Wondolowski, but Zemanski recovers well and puts it out for the corner.
"27 - Tiffert picks out Wondo with a lovely pass, who then turned and let fly with his right boot. 2-0 Seattle.
"33 - Ochoa is put through once again, but his shot misses the goal.
"37 Williams pounces on a loose Seattle clearances and lets fly. Gspurning does well to turn it behind or a corner.
"41 - Fox finds himself unmarked from a corner, but his header is tipped wide by Vuolo .

Seattle Sounders lift US Cup for the third time in four years

After a one year gap, Seattle Sounders fans can again rejoice as they lift the US Cup after a 4-1 win over Philadelphia.

Manager Abbott has spent a little over a year at the club, and this is the first silverware his has produced. "It's an amazing feeling" said the gaffer. "I want to keep bringing in the silverware, and keep this run of wins going."

Goals from Ochoa, Wondolowski, Wynne and Johnson put Seattle dreamland in front of their own fans, before they lifted the cup that they had so dearly missed out on last season.

"Jesus" said new signing Danny Fox. "I've been here less than a month, and already got my hands on a winners medal. It's a good feeling. Long may it continue."

Other Seattle players took to Twitter to announce their joy; Sammy Ochoa said- "WOAH! OMG! What a win."
