Schalke Dismiss Keller

FC Schalke manager Jens Keller was today sacked by the clubs board of directors, just weeks into his job as the clubs manager after recent pictures emerged in German newspapers of him at a strip club, with a water pipe in hand, traditionally known as a bong in which used for smoking marijuana or other drugs. The pictures were reportedly taken just hours after 41 year old Keller, had been appointed manager of Schalke, after he replaced Huub Stevens and once a member of the board saw these pictures, the directors immediately held an emergency meeting to discuss the future of Keller, and once the meeting had finished, Keller relieved a phone call to say that he had been relieved of his duties. There have been theories on the internet as to who could take over from Keller, with names such as Dennis Bergkamp, Lothar Matthaus and Fabio Cannavaro all had their names thrown into the hat to be the new Schalke manager.
Nice start good luck. I always like your stories. If Lothar Matthaus gets the job you will have big things to live up to on this site :P

You didn't need to come up with that story to get rid of him. He's crap. Trust me I follow the Bundesliga closely. Still nice update and I look forward to the rest of this story.

Schalke Appoint New Manager

FC Schalke have today released a statement on the clubs website announcing they have appointed 40 year old former France international Lilian Thuram as the clubs new manager. Thuram, who has played for clubs such as Monaco, Parma, Juventus and Barcelona, has also won 142 caps for France, scoring twice. His club football record is also impressive, boasting 683 career games and scoring 13 goals, having played most of his career at either right back or centre back. Reports have suggested that has been given a 1 year deal worth around £18,750 per week just incase he does not live up to the job, but he is expected to be able to produce great things at the club with his vast football knowledge. In 2008, Thuram was set to sign for PSG on a 1 year deal, but was later diagnosed with a heart defect, and because of this the deal fell through. A few days later he retired from football due to his heart defect and has recently told newpapers he was relishing the chance to get back into football following an unwanted retirement. In the last 4 years since he retired, Thuram has completed a number of coaching courses in a bid to get more involved in football, and has said that he is grateful at being able to take his first job in football management and aims to take Schalke to global success.
Schalke is a very interesting team. Add the fact you chose Lilian Thuram and you might have a very good story here. I shall follow :)

Schalke Begin Pre-Season

New Schalke manager Lilian Thuram will today fly out to Austria with the team to begin the clubs training camp. The club will be there for only 5 days as it is seen as more of a bonding session and there will be no matches during the trip. After the training camp ends, Thuram and his boys will travel to France to face AC Arles-Avignon, before then jetting to England to face last seasons Champions League winners Chelsea. The Miners will then return home to Germany to take part in a friendly cup involving Npower Championship side Charlton Athletic, Stade Brestois 29 and NEC Nijmegen. The clubs final game of pre-season will then be on the 11th of August as they travel to Belgium to face Westerlo. In the transfer side of football, Lilian Thuram is rumoured to be considering terminating the loan of French winger Michel Bastos, as his £70k per week wages are too much money for the club to fork out for a player who could be excluded from the first team this season.

Schalke Receive Mystery Funding

FC Schalke manager Lilian Thuram has today revealed that he is very grateful for the funding that the club have revived from a mystery backer. Thuram, who has already spent a mast majority of his budget along with most of the transfer fees being divided into monthly installments, has said that he cannot wait to have extra funds available, with the total pumped into the club rumoured to be around the £15m mark, and will use it as soon as he can to improve his squad. Schalke's owners have already released a statement on the clubs website saying that they will not disclose the identity of who supplied the money, but there are rumours going around saying this "mystery supplier" will continue to pump money into the club to help out Thuram build his squad. Players such as Adryan, Didier Drogba, Martin Kelly and Kolo Toure have all been linked with the club since this funding was provided, and now time will tell whether or not any players will actually be signed.

Schalke Complete Transfer Business

FC Schalke manager Lilian Thuram has today revealed that he has no more transfer targets, and will only sign more players if the club actually need to. Thuram has managed to spend the extra £15m on extra players and says his squad is capable of qualifying for the champions league. Below are the players who have joined Schalke over the summer who will help them challenge for the top.

22 year old Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer has joined for a fee of £8.25m from Feneyoord, with most of the fee being paid off in monthly installments.

29 year old Italian goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has joined for a fee of £9m from Lazio.

23 year old English defender Kyle Naughton has joined for a fee of £5m from Spurs.

22 year old Portuguese defender Ruben has joined for a fee of £3m from Maritimo.

19 year old English midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe has joined for a fee of £375k from Man United.
