Manchester City appoint Redknapp

http://i1.cdnds.net/12/16/300x225/showbiz_jamie_redknapp.jpg

After a massive struggle at the Ethiad of the past few week with many losses like an owner, some money and a manager haven't helped. But one of those problems has been fixed. That being a new manager was appointed this morning at City's training ground. That person being former Liverpool, Spurs and England international midfielder Jamie Redknapp.

Fans across the City gathered at Carrington training centre to meet their now gaffer; but it wasn't who they were expecting. With many high profile managers being linked with the job like Wegner, Villas-Boas and Blanc being linked with the City hot seat.

The board made a statement following the appointment saying "We are very happy to welcome Jamie to the club and it's facilities, the board and backroom staff all have faith inside him and we honestly believe he can help us in the tricky situation!"

When interviewed, Redknapp told us: "To work with a club like Man City with all these great players is a real honour and knowing that some want to leave and some will be forced to leave due to administration is very gutting. I know the club will need a lot of work put in to save it from it's fate but I think I can help but all we need is some money by finding a new owner. I know that man or woman is out there somewhere; but when we find them. This club will be back on track!"

Redknapp will be busy over the next few days and weeks with the FA set to say what will be happening to the club regarding which division they will play in and whether any points shall be deducted!

Six players hand in Transfer Request

http://go.sky.com/SVOD/SKYSPORTS/_Shows/Transfer%20Centre/TRANSFER_CENTRE_LARGE_AUG13.jpg

Manchester City's tough situation has caused them lots of trouble for the past few weeks, and because of this, six players have handed in written transfer requests to Jamie Redknapp and he has accepted to sell them in order to get some funds into the club. The following players below have officially handed in a written transfer requestion which we have had confirmed by the backroom staff and directs at Manchester City.

David Silva:
Silva joined the blues at the beginning of the 2010/11 season in a deal from Valencia believed to be worth around 25m. Silva has told the club that with the possibility of them being dropped divisions, he no longer wishes to be a part of Manchester City and the club wish him the best for the future and will be transfer listed and sold as quickly as possible.

Sergio Aguero:
This sharp shooter joined City for 38.5m in a deal from Spainish club Athletico Madrid. In his first season he scored 23 goals in the space of 34 games throughout the season. Aguero has only been at the club for one year since he joined in 2011. But is worried that the season facing the Blues is a tough challenge and he wants to be at a stable club that are guareenteed some sort of success over the next five years.

Samir Nasri:
This all-rounded midfielder, like Aguero only joined the club in 2011 from English rivals Arsenal for a team worth 25m. He may have only scored five times throughout the 2011/12 (last season's) campaign but landed a total of 30 appearances. He believes that the club situation is confusing him and doesn't know exactly what is going on and says he feels he has the right to know and therefore requested to leave the Ethiad.

Vincent Kompany:
Kompany is a solid rock at the heart of City's defense and played a huge part of their squad which won the premier league last year managing to make 31 appearance last year with only three goals. Vincent is one of the veterans out of the transfer listed players having joined the club all the back in 2008 from German club Hamburg for under 7m. But now being valued at 22.5m. Selling him could really bring some funds into the club.

Carlos Tevez:
Tevez is a great striker is very well known around Manchester for his playing roles at not only City but also the Red Devils. He signed for the blues in 2009 for over 25m from near rivals Manchester United. He's scored plenty of goals throughout the last years scoring a total of 13 goals, and 31 goals the previous year. He will surely be a massive miss for the Blues.

Yaya Toure:
Toure had experience at Spanish giants Barcelona before joining the Blues for a deal worth 28m and scoring only 12 goals in his first two seasons. Despite that he really has been a key player in City's midfield and the board and fans are devestated with his possible departure. However, the worry for Man City is that Yaya is 30 years old and despite being valued at 21.5m, it still might be a struggle to get rid of him.

Manchester City's Fate Revealed

After nearly a month of deliberation of the fate of Manchester City following their recent entrance into administration. This was caused due to owner Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan spending too much money on betting and gambling leaving him and his club in debt. Sources say that they are around 55 million pound in debt due to extra fees paid by the club such as compensation for the owner following his sentence to prison; money spent on the compensation to cancel the four signing mad eearlier in the year by Manuel Pellegrini. City have been forced to list six of their most expensive players to sort it out.

The PFA have today announced a statement determining the clubs future: "First of all, we are happy to announce that they will remain in the Premier Division for the following season but will start on -20 points. Secondly, due to the lack of funds, the PFA and the Manchester City board have announced that the club will have to leave the Ethiad Stadium at the end of the next season. Talks about a new stadium are in progress; that's all!"

When speaking to a City fan, he had this to say "Absolute disgrace, the average point deduction for administration is minus ten, but we've got double that. Ridiculous decision by the PFA!. Disgusted!" This proves that City will be facing a difficult challenge ahead of the new Premier League season.

Redknapp has spoke on Sky Sports News stating "Of course the upcoming season will be a real tough one and when being the Man City manager you never expect to say it. But first of all we need to sell these players to remove the 60 million pound debt. Because of all the owner rubbish and compensation cancelling signings and releasing staff members and a whole lot of other stuff we're in this mess. We need to get some sort of money sorted out, get some funds and sign up some players, even if it means paying some of the tranfers fee of the next 48 months to get good signings. But I do have at the moment have a number of targets I'd love to sign!"
