2013-08-26 04:08#131501 tbendis : I don't think it is intelligent to sign expensive players in a period of debt. When you put it into the database, how little money did you give yourself?
I know but in my finances I am struggling.

Author's Notes: Big signings?

I found a comment saying that why am I signing big players when I am in debt, the thing is that I am in debt and I am using some of my small budget and doing future fees. I have a solution because of this. The plan of this story is for two seasons, seeing how the club coped with debt, but in the case of a takeover, I might just change the title and continue the story like normal.

If you wish me to continue once we are out of debt then let me know. Cause I'd love to continue the story.

Regards,
Lloyd

The trick is, that, by signing big players, on "future fees", you're saddling the club with even more debt...

I agree surely if you are in debt then having big players on big wages joining for big fees on monthly instalments then surely you are making it worse and it just don't make any sense at all.

I order to keep the funds up, David Silva has been sold to Divisional rivals Arsenal. The deal is believed to have a total value of 21m. Silva has signed on a five-year contract with the Gunners. Silva was transfer-listed by request following the club getting into financial troubles.

The player spoke to BBC Sport: "I really did enjoy my time at City but with their troubles with the finances and knowing the club is not fully stable, I couldn't risk that chance of the club going bust and my footballing career being ruined. But I wish them success for the future!"

Redknapp told the English media: "David will be surely missed as he was a key player for the team but yet again, we have to move on and not look at the past because this is a new beginning for the club especially with the club moving stadium next year!"

David Silva will the number 18 jersey in the colours of red and white. He is set to make his debut in the first fixture of the season for Arsenal!

Now I understand that I am taking too long to get to results so therefore there will be more updates than usual over the next couple of days. That way we can get on with the season!

Even though he is not transfer listed, James Milner has today been confirmed to be moving to french giants PSG. The deal is believed to be worth over 9m. He will be on a five-year deal in France.

When speaking to the French media, he said this: "I am sad to leave the Ethiad and never something I wished to do but I spoke with Jamie and we both had mutual respect for each other and we agreed a deal which we both agreed on and were happy with!"

"He will be a loss" said Redknapp, "He is a very good player who provides great strength among our midfield but if we want to get our targets we need to get the money in which is exactly what we want to receive!"When asked what position he wishes to strengthen the most, he said "Left-back!"

Many left backs have been linked with the move to the Ethiad, these are some that have been listed by Sky Sources and numerous Newspapers:
Leighton Baines (Everton)
Domenico Criscito (Zenit)
Christian Fuchs (Schalke)
You should do something like as a consequence of getting in a bad financial position such as only signing U23s for the first 3 years or English Players

Thanks for the comment. I would love to do it but things have happened in the save that mean I can't do that. But I can't tell you! :)

Author's Notes: Sad News!

So I went to go and play my save and guess what happens! The save won't load! ^ I am absolutely devastated because I really enjoyed this save and story and I know that many others did; but there is nothing I can do, and I can't seem to find any backup files so sadly; City Life is no longer being posted. However, I hope to start a new story soon! And it will be just as good!

Welcome to the return of the story City Life. Many of you may know I cancelled it because the save wouldn't open but I am restarting it making it a lot harder a lot more realistic. I hope you continue to support the story and it will get underway tomorrow (6th September 2013) at around 3pm ish depending on when I get back to school.

I will make us in a lower division with less funds and less players and a whole new challenge for the City. I will even make a smaller ground and everything.

I do hope that you continue to support the story because I really enjoy writing it and many of you did enjoy reading it and hope it continues it success.

ENJOY THE ADVENTURE, IT BEGINS SOON!

Man City to play in Npower League 1? City release entire First Team Squad?

http://img.thesun.co.uk/aidemitlum/archive/01508/CRY2-532_1508076a.jpg

A huge amount of changes have happened to what is happening at the Ethiad stadium. They will now be playing the third tier of English Football known as Npower League One. All signings that have joined City will therefore leave the club, (that being Falcao, and Marek Hamsik, all players will be forced to be released on a free and the club are now in talks with a young businessman over funds.

Players and fans across the country announce the devastation over the FA's decision of removing all of their players and being forced to release them on frees due to the fact of one, none of them want to play in a low division and two to lower the club's wage bill.

Head of the Manchester City supporters trust told us:"Yes, it is a devastating time for all City fans across the country knowing that our club is literally being destroyed. With all first team players playing, unless we get a bit of money, we are going to have to play our youth players which isn't the ideal idea for the club, but we'll have to wait and see!"

Today in a press conference, Manchester City boss Jamie Redknapp has told the press that his remaining players at Manchester City from their league reduction are not good enough to challenge in the league. This comes after all of the first team were forced by the English Football Association to depart the club.

A former City favourite has told BBC Sport that: "In my opinion, Redknapp should not be speaking to the public press about these issues. I do agree that he will need to do some transfer business but don't tell the public out loud as this could possibly lower the morale of the team and make them play less effective"

Redknapp is believed to be interested in many Championship and Npower League One players but we will have to see who will sign as word from Manchester City has said that around six approaches for players have been made and they are currently wait for clubs and players (as free agents have been approached).
