West Brom FC are today delighted to announce that Roberto Di Matteo has agreed to take the role of club manager following the sudden departure of former manager, Steve Clarke last week. Di Matteo's arrival will mean he'll take the reigns at The Baggies for the second time after being in charge between 2009 and 2011 before moving onto a very successful spell at Chelsea, winning the Champions League in the process. Di Matteo: "It's great to have finally got everything sorted out. I've been out of management for a while now and all I want to do is get back into it and West Brom was the perfect opportunity. It's a great club with a fantastic fan base and a very good squad of which I look forward to working closely with and continuing the good times here".
Nice start mate, should be good!

Tottenham have completed the signing of West Brom midfielder, Youssouf Mulumbu for a fee believed to be around £17m. Mulumbu had been offered a new 4 year deal at The Hawthorns but accepted the offer from Spurs the following day after revealing that they believed the offer was too good to turn down. Mulumbu: "I enjoyed my time at West Brom but I think I needed a new challenge and Tottenham are a top team with top players and hopefully I can help them to try and push for Champions League football next season".

West Brom are pleased to reveal that 22 year old Ecuadorian winger, Jefferson Montero has completed a move to the club from Mexican first division side Morelia for £1.3m.
Montero has played a long spell of his career in Spain at Villarreal, Real Betis and Levante before joing Morelia. Di Matteo: "We've been watching Morelia for the past week and monitoring the situation. From what we saw he is a great player and will only develop and get better at his age. I'm pleased to get his as cheaply as we did because he is a fantastic talent and will bring a lot of width and directness to the team".
I would be happy you're using Di Matteo but that means you got rid of Steve Clarke, so this story will need to be epic :P

West Brom have signed West Ham central midfielder, Mohamed Diame on a 4 year contract after triggering his £3.5m release clause. Diame is the second player to come in to the club during the new Di Matteo era and it looks as if Di Matteo is already looking to improve the squad with the financial income of the £17m sale of Mulumbu to Spurs. Diame: "My agent told me that West Brom had triggered the release clause and that Roberto wanted to speak to me in person about hopefully agreeing a deal. I came to the training ground and had a look around with him and it didn't take me long to know that this was the place for me and I'm over the moon that the deal is done and dusted".

CAPITAL ONE CUP DRAW

The Capital One Cup second round draw took place tonight drawing some tasty ties such as Leicester-Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace-Fulham and Barnsley to host Roberto Di Matteo's, West Bromwich Albion.
Nice one. What are you aiming for? avoid the drop, mid tab or Euro cup?

Sorry about the late reply. I'm not sure in all honesty... Not done a West Brom game before so I'll need to see how we get on and take it from there :)
Selling Mulumbu for £17 million is fantastic business! Also all of your signings have been great cheap signings! Good Luck matey!

I know! When I've been an EPL team he usually goes for around £13m but Spurs offered £15m and I managed to get them up to 17! Hopefully it works out and the story will be good. Cheers mate. :)
