Danefield United FC 2-0 Leighton Town (Southern Premier League)

An efficient performance from Danefield United saw them run out 2-0 winners over Leighton Town at Danefield United Stadium.

Danefield United FC finally took the lead when midfielder Keanu Marsh-Brown scored a deflected shot from 26 metres on 62 minutes. Supporters had been keen to see what Marsh-Brown had to offer and will have undoubtedly been delighted that their new man made an instant impact. The former Bristol Rover looks to be a brilliant signing for this level.

Marsh-Brown has said he is ready for the challenge and is confident that he will succeed at Danefield United FC. Striker Armand Gnanduillet finally rounded off their victory on 78 minutes with a close range header. This victory prompted bookies to make Danefield odds on favourites for automatic promotion.

Having beaten them 1-3 on their own ground earlier in the season, we remain confident of the points today. At this stage of the season their are no easy games. Teams have come to our ground in the past and have set up banks of four, to which we have labored to break down. We are 6pts clear at the top with 10 games to go, knowing another win takes us a step closer to three times back to back champions. We are also looking forward to our up coming League Cup quarter final match against Thatcham where you our loyal fans will hopefully cheer us on to the next round.

Danefield United FC 1-0 Dorchester Town (Southern Premier League)

Dorchester Town, who have one of the league's poorest disciplinary records, suffered defeat against Danefield United on a cold and stormy afternoon at Danefield United Stadium.

With the game nearing an end, it was Ashley Hemmings who scored an incisive finish from 13 metres to give Danefield United FC the lead on 80 minutes. Hemmings' impact delighted the fans with his late goal.

Danefield United had a number of attempts at goal but their profligacy meant they didn't score as many as they maybe would have liked. Dorchester Town's Corby Moore revealed after the match that he felt there had been a foul in the build up to the goal and that Hemmings' strike should not have been given.

Dorchester Town manager Marcus Bignot refused to openly criticise the referee after the match, claiming that he was not prepared to risk being reprimanded by the FA. With Redditch thrashing title chasing Leamington 4-0, United are now 9 points clear at the top with only 9 games remaining.
Further great news for The Hardmen that Kwesi Appiah has been rewarded for his recent fine form for Danefield United with a new contract.

Appiah was handed a new 2 year contract worth £350,000.

The former Crystal Palace player is Danefield United's top goalscorer, scoring 26 goals in 23 appearances but whose season has been cut short by injury.

Frome Town beat Hythe Town, Chertsey Town, Paulton Rovers, Mangotsfield United and Hitchin Town to get to the final.

The referee for the match will be Philip Hall. Hall's last Danefield United FC match was United's 3-1 Southern Premier League victory over Histon on Saturday 14th March.

Danefield United beat Truro City, Clevedon Town, Rugby Town, Thatcham Town and Leighton Town, thanks largely to the performances of Kwesi Appiah and Will Antwi.

Unfortunately though,Will Antwi has told skysports.com of his disappointment that he will miss the Southern League Cup Final on May 10th through injury.
Instead of taking to the field against The Robins, Antwi will be forced to watch his team-mates from the stands.

The media have fallen over themselves to heap praise on the continued brilliance of United central defender La'Vere Corbin-Ong.

One respected journalist commented that you could take a video of Corbin-Ong's performances and show it to any young kid and say 'that's how to play FIFA 13 on your XBOX'.

Corbin-Ong has made forty appearances so far this season for The Hardmen, scoring four goals.

Corfos Oldman took several questions about the build-up to the cup final and tactic selection from The Non-League Paper against Frome Town.
The Non-League Paper chose the main focal point for the conference with journalist Adam Binns asking, "Can you reveal how you will be instructing the Danefield United boys to play?"
Oldman replied calmly, saying: "We will play a careful, methodical game. There is no sense in being 'gung-ho' We are not visiting a prostitute but instead we will take our time as with a wife or a lover "

Weston Villa have won a league and cup double as they lifted the FA Vase after a 2-1 win over Rotherton at Villa Park.

The Villians beat the likes of St. Francis Rangers, Wellingford and Rocester en route to the Final and were helped along the way by standout performances from the likes of Shpat Ismajli. With the club having offered a reported maximum bonus pot of £35K for winning the competition at the start of the season, Weston Villa players have certainly got a lot to celebrate.

The usual crew will help you bed in, Messieurs Leadbitter and center backs Tumwa and skipper Corbin-Ong. Evans you'll play deep midfield and help your inexperienced partner Alex Woodyard. Sammons you'll play in the hole further forward, and try to supply lone striker Appiah. As for Marsh Brown and Gavin. Your both inexperienced in this team but do you best as my wide wingers. http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac358/Ahiya_Level/MANAGERSPEAKSFM_zpsd2794baa.jpgWelcome to Danefield Stadium for todays match. It has been an incredible start to our Blue Square career, as we currently top the league after 10 games played. My concern that our team lacks the necessary aggression and team spirit to do well at this level has been proved wrong. Our superior technical ability and talent has over shadowed our faults, and a win today will keep us at the top.Our new signing Alexandr G has been frustrated with constant injuries but Appiah as usuall has been red hot in front of goal and leads the scoring charts. However its Marsh-Brown who has been winning the plaudits with his incredible creativity laying on the goals. His level of performance has also out shined Midfielder Procter who is another new signing.

Boston United 1-4 Danefield United FC (Blue Square Bet North)

One of the league's worst defences so far this season continued to struggle as Boston United lost to Danefield United on a cold and clear evening at York Street.

Striker Kwesi Appiah gave Danefield United FC the lead with a shot from 20 metres which found the back of the net via the goalpost in the 13th minute. Young midfielder Patrick McNair then equalised for Boston United in the 16th minute with a well timed close range finish.

Appiah then added his 2nd goal of the game with a tap-in on 67 minutes. That was his 28th in 25 games for the season. An error from Boston United's Oscar Radford allowed striker Ashley Hemmings to score a cleanly struck effort from close to goal.Hemmings took his chance after limited run outs this season. He would have been very happy with his contribution. The last goal of the game came from winger James Lawrie whose 85th minute own-goal will undoubtedly cause him some embarrassment.

So much so that Paul Cook has been sacked by Boston United Chairman David Newton.

The former Stockport County man had been manager at Boston United since November 2013. Boston United have been disappointing in the Blue Square Bet North so far this season and find themselves in 12th place. Boston United have lost three of their last five games in the league.

Boston United will now be looking for a new manager.

Pundits in the media are already speculating that manager Alvin McDonald could be tempted to take over the reins at York Street if the offer is right. Other managers such as Mark Saunders, Gary Roberts and Paddy Atkinson are also being linked with the Boston United hot seat.

With nine matches played and 27 goals scored, the best viewing was to be found at Bower Fold where a crowd of 238 witnessed Stalybridge Celtic's 1-0 victory over Gateshead. This defeat for Gateshead is seen by many as the game that lost them the title and automatic promotion. They are now 4pts behind Danefield having played 3 games more. The highlight being a landmark goal for Stalybridge Celtic's Adam Pepper.

Elsewhere, a brace from Josh Moreman inspired a win for the home side during AFC Telford United's convincing 4-1 victory over Southport and Darrell Murdoch scored the pick of the goals in Solihull Moors' 3-3 draw with Droylsden with a close range header.

Stalybridge Celtic are currently lying in 7th place in the Blue Square Bet North.

A total of 5,316 supporters were out in force around the Blue Square Bet North.

Corfos Oldman took several questions about the next fixture and Danefield United FC from The Non-League Paper in the build-up to Danefield United's Blue Square Bet North match against Gateshead.

The Non-League Paper chose the main focal point for the conference with journalist Adam Binns asking, "Gateshead have notched up four straight wins and the promotion contenders lie in 2nd place in the Blue Square Bet North. They certainly seem to be in great form at the moment and this could be quite a tight game. How do you see the result going?"

Oldman replied calmly, saying: "I think we have to be realistic and acknowledge it's going to be tough for us. To keep our concentration levels up having lost only one game all season will be pretty difficult. As a manager it will be easier for me to be up for this top of the table clash, as it marks my 200th game for The Hardmen. No one wants to lose a landmark game"

On a sad note Liam Wakefield will miss the game having completed his loan spell at Danefield United and returns to Doncaster Rovers.http://eurorivals.net/images/playerthumbs/liam-wakefield_doncaster-1.jpg

Wakefield made 32 appearances with an average rating of 7.43 during his spell at Danefield United, scoring 3 goals and making 2 assists. This will prompt Corfos to see if he can get back the defender for the remainder of the season.
