We keep receiving this question repeatedly on social media, so I thought I'd create this topic to save time when replying.
There is no release date set for Football Manager 2014 or Football Manager Classic 2014 for PS Vita, even though pre-order has started for the regular PC/Mac/Linux edition. SI studio director, Miles Jacobson, confirmed there will also be iOS and Android editions like last year, but we have no other details on that so far.
The official response from Sports Interactive regarding FM14 release date is that it shall be released late 2013. This had been the go-to response all these years with the exception of FM13.
Let's look at some quick facts.
- FM14 officially announced on August 14th and pre-order for PC/Mac/Linux edition started on that day as well
- Like FM13, there will be early access to a public beta version of FM14 two weeks before the game releases for those who pre-order from participating retailers (hint: our store).
- Various online retailers have listed an estimate release date for the game. Some of them are as follows: 31 October, 1 November, 2 November, 8 November, 29 November (most popular), 1 December, 23 December, 31 December
- FM 2013, FM 2012, FM 2010, FM 2008, FM 2007 and FM 2006 were released during October 18-30, while FM 2011, FM 2009 and FM 2005 were out during November 5-14.
Even though late October or early November seems like a natural choice based on release dates of previous FM arrangements, perhaps there's a good chance that FM 2014 could be out a bit later this year. Current signs show 29 November as a likely release date which means 15 November could be the public beta access day.
Release Date (estimates)
Football Manager 2014: Late November 2013
Football Manager 2014 Beta: Mid November 2013
