Bayern stunned as Guardiola walks out!

http://live4liverpool.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/guardiola.jpg
Pep Guardiola has shocked fans across the world by walking out on Bayern Munich, the team he officially joined just a few days ago, replacing Jupp Heynckes, who retired from management. Fans are outraged, upset and disappointed in the 42 year-old, who is said to have 'deserted the club in an unnecessary time.'

Guardiola revealed in a statement to Sky Sports News: "As soon as I arrived at the Allianz Arena for my first day in charge I knew something was missing. I just didn't feel right there. I apologise to all fans for the inconvenience I have caused and hope there's a way anyone could forgive me. I doubt I'll get back into football management for a few years to come, as I feel I need a proper break after the pressure and stress from the Barcelona job, and to face the wrath from Bayern fans. Once again, I apologise."

President Uli Hoeneß also spoke to Sky Sports News, saying: "Everyone at Bayern are utterly disappointed in Pep, who deserted the club in an unnecessary time. A legendary manager has just retired, and a few days later, his replacement too leaves. However, we understand Pep's reasoning and wish him the best of luck in his career. We are already searching for a new manager for the club - someone youthful but full of club experience. We'll be releasing a statement as to who the new manager is as soon as possible."

Favourites for the job are David Beckham, Owen Hargreaves and Roberto Di Matteo, despite only one of the three having experience at Bayern, and only one having managerial experience.
Good Luck

van Bommel unveiled as new Bayern manager

Mark van Bommel has been revealed as the new Bayern Munich manager, following Pep Guardiola's resignation a few days ago. van Bommel, 36, is 'delighted with the appointment', as are many fans, while the board brand his appointment a 'breath of fresh air'.

Mark van Bommel was born on the 22nd April 1977 in Maasbracht, and began his successful football career at their local club, before earning a professional contract with Fortuna Sittard in 1992. After 7 years at the club, he joined PSV Eindhoven, where he won Dutch Footballer of the Year twice, 3 Eredivisie titles and 2 Johan Cruyff Shield trophies. In 2005, van Bommel joined Barcelona, where he won more awards and trophies in the year he was there - La Liga, UEFA Champions League and less importantly, the Supercopa de España. In 2006, he joined Bayern Munich, where he played until 2011. He won a series of trophies, all in Germany, before leaving for AC Milan. He, once again, won more trophies. His final adventure into the football world was back to PSV for 1 season, before retiring at the end of the 2012-13 season.

van Bommel spoke to many different football news stations, this is what he said to BBC Sport: "I had never even dreamed of being manager of a club like Bayern Munich, so when they came calling, there was no way I could refuse. I'm delighted with the appointment and hope I can bring success to the Allianz Arena. The board have given me a respectable budget for the summer transfer window, and I have my eye on a few players - but none will be revealed just yet. Thank you, Bayern Munich."

There were odds of 80/1 on van Bommel being the new Bayern manager, and his appointment will without doubt have delighted many gamblers across the globe, with around 1,200 people betting on van Bommel's appointment.
Nice van Bommel is class!!!

2013-14 Season Kits revealed

Just a few hours after unveiling Mark van Bommel as their brand new manager, Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeneß unveiled the new kits for the 2013-14 season, which lacks a third kit. No players were involved in the revelation, only Hoeneß showing them to a packed crowd for Sky Sports News.

After revealing the kits, Hoeneß said: "With these kits and the new sponsor, AirBerlin, I hope that van Bommel and the entire Bayern team can start a new era for Die Bayern, leading on from last year's Champions League victory. We all want this club to move forward, which we fully believe we can do with a few signings and trust from the players. It'll take time, and probably be tough, but I fully believe Mark can lead us in the right direction."

Fans have reacted well to the kit unveiling and Hoeneß's speech, and have been filled with optimism for their beloved Bayern, which was left in doubt just 4 days ago. Bayern Munich are currently the favourites to win the title, in front of Borussia Dortmund and Schalke, who take 2nd and 3rd respectively.
You don't have to write Hoeneß, just Hoeness :P
