Bayern's Deadline Day Full of Excitement - 2 in, 1 out
Bayern's deadline day wasn't lacking in deals, as two players come into the team, and 1 player leaving. The two players signed for
Bayern shoot their spending total for the transfer window up to
£52m, while they have received
£9.75m in outings.
Mark van Bommel spent his money wisely on the players he bought, as any of the 4 signings could've been signed for a lot more than what they got.
The first signing on deadline day was the completion of the
Marc-André ter Stegen saga, as he joined for a fee of
£15m from
Borussia Monchengladbach. The club had expressed their interest in
ter Stegen many weeks ago, and it is just today that the deal had been completed.
ter Stegen said to
Sky Sports News: "I'm relieved that the saga sending me to Bayern is finally over, and that I have actually joined the club. I enjoyed my time at Gladbach but I'm optimistic ahead of my new adventure with Bayern. I'm thankful to all my fans, teammates, anyone who has shown hope in me, and I'm delighted to start the new month as a Bayern Munich player."
The final signing of deadline day to
Bayern was the surprise signing of
Brazilian hope
Adryan, who joins
Die Bayern for a fee that will go up to
£10m from
Brazilian side
Flamengo. Bayern has showed no interest in the midfielder until today, and
van Bommel was delighted that the deal was completed quickly.
van Bommel said to the press:
"Adryan was not at all a panic buy, only a hidden signing. We had been interested in the signing for a few weeks now, but all looked unlikely. However, I didn't give in, and I'm delighted with the speed of the signing. I hope Adryan and ter Stegen, both our deadline day deals, can make a positive impact on the team."

The player leaving the
Allianz Arena is fellow
Brazilian Luiz Gustavo, who leaves for a speculated fee of
£9.75m to
Italian club
A.C. Milan. While losing
Gustavo has disappointed a few fans, many are understanding of the deal, and are happy with the amount of money recieved for a back-up player.
van Bommel, being swamped with questions, released this statement online:
"While we will miss Luiz, I couldn't find a place for him in the team. A.C. Milan are a very successful team, and I am happy for Luiz for being able to get this first team chance. I send all my best wishes and good luck to Luiz on all his endeavours, and wish him a successful career with not only Milan, but with any club he may join."
It wasn't just rush for
Bayern, as many other deals in the
Premier League and
La Liga were completed today. If you want to see these deals, take a look
