50 million pounds! :O You wayyyy overpaid their mate.

This may return...

Most of you know that I've recently started a Fulham story, but I really don't like the save, so that pretty much ends that. Sorry for those who were looking forward to it, I just don#t feel that much passion or enthusiasm for it anymore.

Which is why I'm wondering if you want to see this back. I'm more than happy to have it return, as I feel it's the best story I have written. Then again, that doesn't take much.

So, who actually wants this to return? Or would you prefer a new story from me? Or you just want me to shut up and get on with a story? ;)

Tottenham remain unbeaten with West Brom win

The games of September began, and Tottenham continued their unbeaten run in all competitions after 3 wins and a draw in August. This time, they faced a slightly tougher opponent in West Bromwich Albion, read below to see how they got on...

The team Tottenham fielded was Hugo Lloris - Kyle Walker, Younes Kaboul, Jan Vertonghen, Mattia De Sciglio - Paulinho, Mousa Dembélé - Stephan El Shaarawy, Christian Eriksen, Bébé - Roberto Soldado. The formation was Mido's 4-2-3-1, changed from before. North London rivals Arsenal manager Arséne Wenger was spotted in the stands before kick off.

Débutant Mattia De Sciglio got off to a rocket start, setting up fellow new signing Bébé for a beautiful goal in the 4th minute, making the score 1-0 to Spurs. For the next 10 minutes, the game was pretty even, with both teams creating some dangerous chances, but the goalkeepers were the key. Stephane Sessegnon was yellow carded in the 19th minute for a foul on Bébé, but that lead to nothing serious. Just 2 minutes later, West Brom created a chance which Lloris couldn't get to, with Frimpong, Yacob and goalscorer Gera all playing vital parts in the equaliser. 1-1.
More chances came flying in the remainder of the 1st half, and other than a few yellow cards being dished out, nothing happened until half time. In the second half, Paulinho and Chris Brunt both needed treatment on the sidelines for separate injuries, but came back on within a few minutes. Débutant Stephan El Shaarawy was later susbtituted after a less than satisfactory first game in Spurs colours, being replaced by Erik Lamela. The game looked destined for a draw. Lamela was smashing shots at the goal from left, right and centre, but none could get into the back of the net. Then, in the 74th minute, Roberto Soldado grabbed the winner, after a fierce shot was driven into the back of the net, assisted by Mousa Dembélé. Soldado was then taken off to be rested, Emmanuel Adebayor replacing him. After a few more chances, mainly from Lamela, the game finished 2-1 in favour of the away side.

The man of the match, just, was again centre back Younes Kaboul, who bagged a great rating of 8.2, leading Spurs to a well deserved victory.

Manager Mido had some words to say after the match...
"I'm happy with how we played as well as the result. We worked hard and wouldn't back down. I'm impressed with Mattia [De Sciglio] and to an extent Stephan [El Shaarawy], as well as our man of the match Younes [Kaboul]. I hope this form continues for the remainder of the season, even though it's far too early to tell. I believe we can continue our form well into October, but that's if we can get a good result at the Etihad Stadium. But it's another good victory now, and I'm very happy with it."

The victory bumped Spurs up one place to 7th, while Everton and Manchester City remained at the top. There were wins for the top 2, as well as Liverpool, Cardiff City and Newcastle United.
Solid win. Like the layout too.

Lol! Wenger at a Spurs match! Good win, keep it up and a good layout :)
Like the others have said the layout is very good :P
I keep coming back to this story! :P

This will be coming back, because I've realised that it's been my best story yet - and my longest. I really think this will last, and I really hope it does too. I was enjoying the save, but for some reason I enjoy changing clubs. This may be a hint in the story at one point, but I don't even know yet :P

Hope you stand by me :)

Spurs continue impressing at White Hart Lane

In the second game of September - on Sunday 16th - Tottenham Hotspur hosted Sunderland, a side who have had a rollercoaster journey in the Barclays Premier League so far. Yet again, success came Tottenham's way, but have a look at just how well Spurs did below...

At White Hart Lane, Tottenham played their same 4-2-3-1 formation, with the following players: Hugo Lloris - Kyle Walker, Younes Kaboul, Vlad Chiriches, Danny Rose - Paulinho, Mousa Dembele - Lewis Holtby, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela - Roberto Soldado. Did this prove effective for the North London side?

In the first ten minutes, the play was fairly even, with both sides getting chances - Erik Lamela of Tottenham getting the closest. However, for the next 15 minutes, Spurs dominated the game, with no chances going towards the Black Cats in this time. Carl Ikeme was the difference between 0-0 and 3-0.

The scoring opened in the 27th minute when Spanish striker Roberto Soldado finally got the ball past Ikeme, putting the home side 1-0 up against Sunderland. Ten minutes later, Erik Lamela got booked after a tackle on Tony Hibbert. However, this failed to affect the Spurs team at all, as they bounced back just 1 minute afterwards with a goal from Christian Eriksen, a classy effort from just outside the box. 2-0 to Tottenham.

Tottenham had many more chances before half time, coming from Lewis Holtby, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele, but they failed to settle the score within 45 minutes. Sunderland, however, got off to a better start in the second half, with Hibbert and Lee Cattermole both coming close to the back of the net. Tottenham dominated from then on, unfortunately for the Black Cats, with Dembele, Eriksen and Kyle Walker getting the closest to the back of the net. This was before Erik Lamela managed to get on the scoresheet for Spurs, and therefore sealing the victory. Tottenham Hotspur 3 - 0 Sunderland.

The man of the match was goalscorer Christian Eriksen, who grabbed a rating of 8.6 at White Hart Lane. Frenchman Younes Kaboul was close behind with 8.4.

Manager Mido had some words to say about the match, speaking to Sky Sports News, Mido said...
"A great victory for the club - one I'm very pleased with. The players were looking very confident afterwards and they have a reason to be so - I actually believe we have the ability to win the league, we definitely have the ability to contend for the coveted title. This season is looking very bright for us - and I understand that we haven't really faced a challenge, but we have played exceptionally well, well enough to win at least one trophy this year. I may sound over the top, but I'm expressing my views on the club's future."

Tottenham's unbeaten run has sent them up to 5th in the table - with Everton and Manchester United topping the standings yet again. There were victories for Chelsea, Liverpool, Cardiff City and Hull City, as well as points gained for both Everton and Man United.
