Great signings for the club. Look forward to seeing Mattheus rip the Premier League to shreds :)
Do you mean you've only been learning how to do them for two days or it took two days to make them? And what program do you use?
Oooh, Gus Poyet :P
Nice signings too :)

Only been learning to do them for two days! I originally wanted to go for Falque from Spurs but he wasn't interested in joining :(. To make the banners I use G.I.M.P :D
That's amazing! :P

Eagles spreading their wings after Pre-Season

http://i39.tinypic.com/2u72lj7.png

Crystal Palace showed the Premier League what to expect next season after winning five pre-season matches from five. Palace, who have hired new manager Gus Poyet showed that they are ready for the big time after some some amazing, attacking football which will undoubtedly please Palace fans.

Palace's first pre-season friendly match came against Bradford City, and while they are currently in the lower tiers of English football, last season they showed they are not a team to be messed with. Wins against Premier League big boys, Arsenal and Aston Villa showed what a dangerous side Bradford can be. Sadly, for Bradford, things did not go their way - Palace dominated the match, controlling and keeping the ball well, playing some magnificent football. This was shown at the final whistle, after Palace recorded their first 2-0 win (albeit a friendly) under new boss, Gus Poyet

The next match was not to be as straight forward as the first. Palace played Swindon at Home, and things did not get off to a good start. After just 10 minutes, Swindon were ahead and it wasn't until just before Half-Time that a quick double from Glen Murray allowed Palace to take the lead. After going 3-1 up, Swindon hit again, this time having a shot parry off the bar before striking Palace keeper, Julián Speroni on the back of the head for an own goal. Palace quickly put the game to bed after a goal from Matthues saw the game end 4-3.

The next two matches again saw comfortable wins against Bala FC and Haverfordwest, with Palace winning 2-0 and 4-1 respectively. Glen Murray also managed to bag himself two further goals, taking his total in pre-season to four goals in four games. Jordi Gomez also made his debut, coming on as a substitute late into the match.

Palace's final game saw them beat Rhyl FC, a Welsh football club currently plying their trade in the Cymru Alliance. A 3-0 win will hopefully put a smile on Crystal Palace fans faces, especially after Captain Paddy McCarthy picked up a pulled hamstring, which will see him miss the beginning of the season. Crystal Palace is set to travel to Anfield, which will see them play their first competitive match under new boss, Gus Poyet, and their first match in the Premier League since 2004/2005.

Entirely up to you how you prefer to show results. Most people tend to use a simple score monthly.

David Bentley signs for Palace

http://i43.tinypic.com/dlte15.png

Labelled one of Tottenham's biggest 'flops.' David Bentley has had a agonizingly frustrating time since signing for Spurs in in 2008. Brought through Arsenal's academy, he was seen as the next David Beckham. In 2006, Bentley signed from Arsenal to Blackburn for an undisclosed fee. Bentley went on to make 88 appearances for the club, between 2006 and 2008, scoring 13 goals.

On 31 July 2008, Tottenham Hotspur announced their signing of Bentley, on a six-year contract, for a £15 million fee, with an additional £2 million conditional on future performance. Bentley is mainly known to Spurs fans thanks to his 43-yard dipping volley in which earned Tottenham a 4–4 draw against his former employers Arsenal on 29 October 2008. Bentley has since been loaned out four times since then, and it is thought that Andre-Villas Boas is going to wait until his contract runs out next year.

Crystal Palace announced the signing of Bentley just days before the closure of the transfer window. Speaking to the clubs website, Gus said "Bentley is a great addition to the squad. It gives us much more depth in the wings. He [Bentley] will be great, we only have one out and out winger, so it is great to be able to play with more width. Hopefully his passing abilities will help us unlock defences, something which we may struggle to do otherwise."

I hate Bentley so much haha. You are the first person I've see sign him so I look forward to seeing how well he does.

I wanted to keep it realistic, instead of just going for a wonder kid (Bruma was on my mind, but I feel that he's an obvious, good cheap winger) Also, Bentley has been linked to a few clubs that are the same caliber of Crystal Palace! I needed a winger desperately, and he came up, so I thought why not. Can't do me any harm, having any more players!
I think Bentley is a decent signing, a little based off of his reputation snd people remembering how good he was before he left for spurs, but it'll be a good signing for you :)
