Come on Chelsea, we're still in this! :P

Day 37: One day left, still lots of questions!

In three hours, we will know who will be crowned 2014 Champions of England, who will join them in Champions League, and who will go down to Npower Championship with West Ham.

This will surely be exciting and here is the program!

Cardiff - Chelsea

Chelsea will try to end a good season with a win, they will finish third of Premier League for the second year in a row and Jose Mourinho will try to build on this season to challenge even further the two Manchester sides. Cardiff also had a good season, after winning Championship they will this year finsh quite far from the relegation danger.

Fulham - Crystal Palace

Palace also had a good season for a promoted side. They even stayed in the first part of the table until March and this kept them far from relegation when they were in poor form. For Fulham the season was much harder and not winning this game could be fatal for them, being only one point ahead of Stoke and Hull. The Cottagers, who will play next week the FA Cup final against Arsenal, just won their first game in three months and it was a very important fixture against Hull (2-0).

Hull City - Everton

While the Toffes, already qualified for Europa League, are only aiming to overtake Arsenal for pride, Hull need at least one point (and in that case a 3-0 lose for Fulham and any lose for Stoke) to stay in Prem. The Tigers are one of the best team of the second part of the season but their very poor start (still no wins in December) gave them a big handicap. Can they save themself on the last day of the season? If they do it will be one of the biggest miracle in Premier League's history.

Liverpool - Newcastle

Liverpool is keeping this 4th place ahead of Tottenham since January but only goals difference is separating the two teams. So even a 1-0 victory today could see them lose their place if Spurs came to beat Aston Villa 3-0. Newcastle don't have real objectives today but their promise their fans that they will finish above of Sunderland and only a point should be enough for that.

Manchester City - West Ham

This game is first against last but if West Ham know that they will unfortunatly stay bottom after this game, the Citizens could lose they lead and the title today. As their goal difference is much higher than United's, a win will secure them this title. Can West Ham contest that? Probably not, the Hammers gain only 4 points from their last 15 games, not wining one of them.

Norwich - Arsenal

For his last Premier League game as Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger decided to play a reserve squad, keeping his players fresh for his last chance of wining a title on next Sunday (FA Cup final vs Fulham). The Gunners opponent, Norwich, isn't in a very good form but secured their place for a third consecutive season in top division.

Southampton - Manchester United

Like in 2012, the Red Devils will have to win their game and hope that Manchester City slip to win the title.

Sunderland - Swansea

Tired of writing so I have nothing to say!

Tottenham - Aston Villa

The Spurs are each year contenders for this 4th place. They had various rivals has Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and now Liverpool. The Spurs who lead this battle until January are tied with L'Pool since March but their lightly inferior goal difference let them the Europa League place. Today, regardless of the Reds result, Tottenham will try to score the most goal possible against Villa. But even if they are in a good postion, the Villains aren't sure of staying clear of relegation, and condeding too much wouldn't be a good idea.

West Brom - Stoke

Stoke need to win.
Finish this dammit! :P

2014 Premier League Final Day

http://www.foot-anglais.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Premier-League-Weekend-Preview1.jpeg
Today is the last match day of 2013-2014 Premier League season. We still don't know who will win the title, who will have the last Champions League qualification place, and who will join West Ham in Npower Championship.
Here is the programme:
And the current standings:

We will now provide you updates on any goals and their consequences in the table.

13th minute: Sunderland scores at home against Swansea. The Black Cats have now the same amount of points as 8th placed and rival Newcastle. Only four goals separates the two teams.
-----
15th minute: Liverpool are 1-0 up against Newcastle after a great free-kick from Steven Gerrard. The Reds have now 74 points, two more than 5th placed Spurs. And Newcastle move down 9th, one point behind Sunderland.
-----
15th minute: Olivier Giroud open the score at Norwich with an header after a great Santi Carzola cross. Arsenal is now five points ahead of 7th place Everton.
-----
23rd minute: Manchester City's winger Jesus Navas push the ball in the back of West Ham nets after a super combination involving Nasri and Yaya Toure. City is two points ahead of United with a nice goal difference avantage. West Ham is already relegated.
-----
27th minute: Spurs are leading at home against Aston Villa, thanks to a Clint Dempsey individual effort. They come back at Liverpool level (74 points) but the goals difference is favourable to the Reds by two goals.
-----
29th minute: And it is two goals for Spurs with another superb effort from Gareth Bale. His 18th goal of the season take is club only two goals away of overtaking Liverpool for Champions League qualification. Aston Villa are two points ahead of 18th placed Stoke and 19th placed Hull.
-----
30th minute: Fulham's Bulgarian striker, Bertatov scores easily his penalty after an hand ball of a Crystal Palace defender in the box. Fulham is now three points ahead of Stoke (18th).
-----
33rd minute: Nicolas Anelka score his fifth goal for West Bromwich and his team is now 1-0 up against Stoke. The Potters need to win, if they want to stay up and they are now three point behind Aston Villa (17th).
-----
35th minute: Cardiff open the score against Chelsea on a corner. This game don't change anything in European qualification or relegation.
-----
42nd minute: Lenon make it three for Tottenham against Aston Villa!!! The Spurs have now the same goal difference than Liverpool but need another goal to qualify for Champions League, if the score don't change between the Reds and Newcastle.
-----
43th minute: Spurs will maybe not need this goal as Gomis scores at Liverpool for Newcastle and make it 1-1. The Reds are now two points behind 4th place and Tottenham.
-----
45th+3 : Jelavic hit a brilliant long range strike to open the score at Hull City for Everton. The Toffees who won't see Europe next year, are three points behind 6th placed Arsenal.

Half-time

It is now half-time on every English Premier League pitch and the first part of the game were very exciting.] For now Manchester City are Champion as they win against relegated West Ham. A win should secure the title for the Citizens as they have a large advantage on goals difference. And their rivals Manchester United are struggling to play against a well organised Southampton, so score is 0-0 in this game.
Chelsea who will finish third is losing to mid-table Cardiff (1-0). The battle for the last Champions League qualification place is one of the most exciting one of Premier League history and for now it is Tottenham who clinch on this 4th place by leading 3-0 against Aston Villa. Liverpool is two points behind because they are drawing with Newcastle but a goal will give them back the aimed place on goal difference, if Tottenham don't score more...
At the other side of the table, two team will join West Ham down to Championship in less than a hour. For now it is Stoke City and Hull City (29 points) who are both losing respectively to West Brom and Everton. But if they manage to win those game, it could be bad news for Aston Villa who have three goals to catch up against Spurs and is now 17th with 32 points and a poorer goal difference than the Potters.
Fulham could also be implicated in this safety race if they lost their lead to Crystal Palace. The Cottagers are for now safe with 33 points but conceding two goals would put them only one point ahead of relegation spots.
It is now time to discover what will finally happen. Enjoy!!

46th minute: Van Persie scores after 54 seconds in the second half and Manchester United lead 1-0 at Southampton. The Red Devils now need to keep their lead and hope that West Ham create the exploit against City...or they can also score 13 more goals to take over the Citizens on goals difference.
-----
53rd minute: Kolo Toure score his first goal for Liverpool on a corner. The Ivoirian defender deflected the ball with a powerful header and give back the lead and the Champions League qualification to the Reds.
-----
56th minute: And it is changing again in the magnificent race for 4th place with Spurs passing once again ahead of Liverpool, thanks to an own-goal on a Gareth Bale corner. Tottenham 4 - Aston Villa 0
-----
57th minute: Fulham score again against Crystal Palace and are definitively on the way to a new Premier League season with four points more than 18th placed Stoke. They are also making of this game a good preparation for their FA Cup final next week against Arsenal.
-----
59th minute: Angel Rangel scores quite an incredible and very surprising overhead kick to provide an equalizer for Swansea against Sunderland. The two clubs are separated by one point.
-----
63th minute: Penalty at White Hart Lane, and it's for Aston Villa. Christian Benteke can make it 4-1, and it would be important for goal difference if Hull or Stoke were to win their games. Benteke try a powerful shot in the top right corner and he scores. If the scores don't change Liverpool will thanks him because they are back on 4th place!
-----
63rd minute: Hull equalize against Everton after a bad clearance from Toffees defence. The Tigers have now 30 points.
-----
64th minute: Walcott scores for Arsenal and the Gunners are leading 2-0 against Norwich. The English winger tried a cross but it was a poor attempt and the ball flew directly in John Ruddy hands, but when the goalkeeper attempted to kick the ball far away it meet Walcott's chest and the player fired the ball on the rebound in the back of the net, leaving Ruddy quite embarrassed.
-----
71th minute: Aston Villa scores again, making it 4-2 away at Tottenham. The Spurs Champions League dreams are still present but they are now more relaying on Newcastle.
-----
75th minute: And they can maybe rely on Newcastle as the Toons just scored a super goal after perfect team move. Once again, Liverpool find them self two points behind Spurs and the crucial 4th place, but now there is only 15 minutes remaing!
-----
79th minute: Saaaaaaaaaaaaalomon Kaloooooooouuuuu!!!! The Ivoirian scores is 7th goal of the season and it is an equalizer against Manchester City! West Ham United could upset the 2012 Champions by offering a second consecutive title to United. This is what the Hammers are doing for now, and there is only ten minutes left on the clock. But with City, ten minutes can be enough...
-----
83rd minute: And it is now three goals for Aston Villa at Tottenham. But the Spurs don't care while Newcastle is keeping their draw with Liverpool. Tottenham 4 - Aston Villa 3
-----
86th minute: Stephan Jovetic!!!!! The former Fiorentina striker scores his 13th goal of the season and City lead 2-1 against West Ham. City are five minute away of winning their second Premier League title.
-----
89th minute: And Manchester City will be 2013-2014 Champions of England. Sergio Aguero scores his 26 goal this season with a curled shot from the edge of the box. Surely West Ham can't close the two goals gap in the extra-time.
-----
90th+1: Hatem Ben Arfaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! Just another crazy goal from the French man. And this time it isn't for Newcastle that he scores it. No, it is against Newcastle! And it is for Liverpool. Ben Arfa just send Liverpool back to Europe top competition by scoring another Neymar-like goal. After joining the Reds last summer, his season was a big disappointment but now everyone as forgotten that and will remember that is first goal for Liverpool is maybe the most important of his career.
And I have reports that angry fans are invading Tottenham's pitch at London and attacking the Aston Villa players.
If Aston Villa didn't score the three goals when Spurs were leading 4-0, it would be this last team who would have qualified for Champions League.
There is also angry Manchester United fans at Southampton but no pitch invading or attacking players to report.
To complete this update, Stoke and Hull will go down with West Ham.
