The Scouters Pre-Season
A very pleasing start to life as a new football club for FMScout united as they finished their pre-season unbeaten, including some very impressive victories.
Matt Wells was officially the first ever goalscorer for the club, firing in against the reserves early in the second half. Lucas Crosbie finished off a nice move just outside the box just 11 minutes later to round off a good performance from the scouters.
Next up was MK Dons who expected to have a walkover against their much younger opponents. However an unexpected result was on the cards as young wonderkid Ziechael powered into the box and fired into the roof of the net, much to the delight of the fans at Fratton Park (Our Stadium!) Boris Johnson doubled the lead before the end of the first half after a defensive blunder let the pacey winger in, who placed his shot below the out rushing keeeper. Things got worse for The Dons when Bulgarian prospect TheStyleR curled in a shot from the edge of the box. A consolation goal was gotten to make the scoreline look more respectable, however Alex Heardman's men were not done yet. After a tidy exchange with strike partner Ben Dover, Nathianiel Mair bet the offside trap and confidently struck home from 10 yards. This result will surely send a message out to all English football.
3 days later another higher division opposition would fall to FMScout United as Southend were victims to a 1-0 home defeat. Ben Dover opened his account for the club from the penalty spot, after center back Big Boris was tugged down in the box.
Bristol Rovers came from behind to salvage a draw from The Scouters after Nathaniel Mair managed to find the net from an impossible angle 10 minutes after the restart.
A very very late winner from Ziechael gave his team a 1-0 win against Aldershot away from home. The travelling fans were delighted with Ziechael's late winner, and are tipping him to become the next Michael Owen. The season has not begun yet but already bigger clubs are looking at some of The Scouters players. How long will they manage to hang on to them?
The Pre-Season was wrapped up with a 1-0 win against Whitehawk thanks to Ben Dover's 2nd goal of pre-season, ranking him as joint top goalscorer, along with the other two strikers Ziechael and Nathaniel Mair. Manager Alex Heardman may have some selection headaches coming into the new season.
