October
FMScout United continued their dominant campaign with a 100% record in October and progressed to the 1st round of the FA Cup.
Their first opposition came in the form of lower league
Davantry and although they would have liked to have won by more, a 2-0 scoreline was acceptable. Goals from defensive midfielder
Neal Hasan and winger
Drew Peacock saw The Scouters safely through to the next round.
Another lower league opposition in the FA Cup which was
Hanworth Villa. The Scouters never looked in trouble and clocked an early goal with
Nathaniel Mair slotting the visitors in front early on. Just before the first half whistle sounded
Boris Johnson made the most of a defensive mix up, doubling the lead and effectively seeing his side through to the 1st round.
Back to league action and a game that proved to be a difficult contest against
Basingstoke. The Scouters finally took the lead on the 78th minute mark when a long ball from
Nic Adams was knocked down by
Ziechael and hit home by
Nathaniel Mair. A fantastic team goal and one the supporters really enjoyed. Their lead was doubled just 2 minutes later after a fantastic solo effort from
Ben Dover, who dribbled past multiple defenders before applying a deadly finish.
Another team who proved difficult to break down was
Tonbridge who managed to go into the break at 0-0. However after waves of pressure they finally buckled, with
Ziechael heading in from close range after a superb
Matt Wells cross.
The Scouters capped off the month with a 2-0 home win against financially crippled
Truro.
TheStyleR opened the scoring with a freak goal, an appeared attempt cross to
Ziechael began suddenly curling and caught the keeper off gaurd and went over his head. USA prospect Neal Hasan got his second off the month with an absolute thunderbolt after right back
Racsiofy made a darting run and laid him off the ball, where his right footed stirke found the top corner.
