FOOTBALL ICON: Will you be the next star?

Barcelona's star Croatian, who recently declared himself for the Balkan nation, spoke on Matthew Wells' and Mohammed Lester's recent feud.

Bendiš is well known for... well... not exactly being quiet when it comes to the press.

"Let's face it... this isn't about Wellsy or Lester at the end of the day. Il Capitano over here thinks that he's all that. He's injured. Such is life. And then, Mohammed here. Well, Mohammed is on every CIA watchlist known to man, JUST because of his name. The poor guy here is constantly has someone following him around, so naturally he gets a bit stressed when it comes to you idiots asking him what's up.

"The real deal is that I'm playing really well, and that Mohammed is playing really well. We're both hoping for the title, and, at worst a chance at one of Europe's major clubs. I don't think any of us see our future here at Barcelona. The playing style is just not ideal for either of us...

Its come to that special time again when you've got to tell one player to pack their bags and go home. One player would be leaving and we would be left with 23 players remaining. 23 players going for that one thing, the pro contract at FC Barcelona.

This was a bad month for the Football Icon players. It saw many defeats and injuries. Some injuries worse than others. I can now confirm one player will be getting on a plane back home, due to an injury they sustained. Injuries are a very tough thing to get over.

The player going home is........TIM CRUZ(Akash) due to a horror injury. We wish him all the best in the future.

After all the recent fuss surrounding the F.C. Barcelona 'B' side, Czech midfielder Tomáš Vacek has publicy complained about Mohamed Lester's actions. Speaking in an interview at La Masia, where the FOOTBALL ICON show is being filmed, Vacek gave reporters his honest opinion regarding the drama.

"I think it's stupid, what's happening at the moment with all these players shouting about, it's really pointless. It's hardly going to help us become better players, and I know that's what we all want to become. This stupid public stuff isn't going to be impressing [Seni]Oyewumi (The B team manager) and that means that whoever goes round spreading random rumours and praying for others to be injured, are being utterly stupid."

"This is meant to be a Football show for fans of the beatiful game, not a soap opera. I want all the players we're working with here to stop the nonsense, and I hope we can put it all behind us and become successful footballers in the future, not stupid soap actors, or actresses, which I have to say for someone in this squad."

When questioned over who he was reffering to, Vacek stayed quiet, but he did respond to some questions over his future at Barca, and how he thinks the show is going.

"Well for me, I don't think it's gone too well, but I will see. The manager does like me, and I am getting along well, really well, with me, but I didn't start any of the friendlies, and although I did get off the bench as did everyone, I really wanted to start, and hopefully I will in the league games. I feel sorry for all those people who were eliminated after getting just a little injury, your chance has gone, and it's not your fault. I just hope I don't get injured at all. That would help a lot in the way of trying to get a contract."
