Tottenham Hotspur: The club that Bill made.

The fixtures for the Quarter Final of the Europa league have been announced. Among the teams in the draw include Premier League side Swansea City, who obtained their place via the Capital One Cup win, Wigan Athletic, who obtained their place by winning the FA Cup, Tottenham Hotspur and Champions league drop-outs Arsenal.

Other big names still in the running include Spanish sides Sevilla, as well as Russian side Zenit and Anji.

We are delighted to announce that manager Andre Villas Boas has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2018.

Andre Villas Boas spoke of his delight after extending his contract with Tottenham Hotspur. The 35-year old was in the final year of his deal, however Chairman Daniel Levy decided to extend the Portuguese contract after leading the club to a very successful season.

Speaking to Spurs TV Online, the manager said "It's great to have the trust of Daniel. We have a great relationship, we communicate well and we both want this club to succeed."

"When he [Daniel Levy] contacted me over the job just over a year, I was very excited - Tottenham are a great club with a great history and big expectations from the fans. I hadn't had the greatest start in my career during my time in London. He had faith in me, he took a gamble on me and for that I am eternally grateful."

"Signing with Tottenham was not a chance of restoring my reputation - it was to help get Tottenham back where they belong and fight for the league titles. I feel that I am doing that now. Currently we are sat at the top [of the table] and we're now into the Semi Finals of the Europa League - a competition I hold in high regard."

It's an encounter that will send the fans of North London crazy. Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn against their North London Rivals, Arsenal for the Semi-final of the Europa League.

The match will see the pair face each other in a grueling battle, and the victor will be heading to the finals to get a chance of getting their hands on a European trophy.

Unlike Arsenal, Tottenham do have experience in this cup competition, having won it twice before. Their first time was in the 1972 season, winning the trophy under Bill Nicholson, which ultimately lead to the Lilywhites becoming the first British club to win two different major European trophies, having won the the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1963.

It took Tottenham just 2 more years to reach another final. However, they finished runners up, losing to Dutch side Feyenoord.

They then won the competition again 12 years later in 1984, beating R.S.C. Anderlecht on penalties.
