Good evening to all you football fans out there!! My fellow FMers have posed me the challenge of taking charge of a Premier League side (not my favourite team, Manchester United) and taking them to to the top! I was suggested teams like Aston Villa, Newcastle and even Liverpool. But i wanted to prove my mettle as a manager, and chose a team i liked and knew a little about.
With this in mind, I settled on two teams, Spurs and Sunderland. Though Spurs are my second favourite team, i decided to go with Sunderland (bit more challenging). I have no idea how this will pan out, or where it will take me, but join me on this adventure and it should be an interesting one.
Buckle up, because it time to take Sunderland to the top!
Transfer Prospects
I have been given a decent transfer budget of £7.5mil seeing as decided we could finish in the top half this year. With this money i aim to bring in a lot of new young faces who will rejuvenate the team and serve the team for years to come. Below are some of the main prospects i am trying to sign:
Sime Vrsaljko
I have played with Vrsaljko before and he is brilliant! He defends well and attacks even better. If i can clinch him, he will be vital to my success!
Lucas Digne
I have never bought Digne before but from what i have seen in the scout report, and from his attributes, he looks like a good one for the future. In all honesty there doesnt seem to be any great left back in the Sunderland squad, and this needs to be addressed ASAP.
Felipe Anderson
This is the man i am expecting to take this team to a new level! He is an amazing player (i have signed him before) and i really am expecting big things if i can land this guy
Rafael Toloi
Im expecting this young central defender to be a good replacement when Wes Brown retires. Hopefully he can learn a lot from the likes of Brown and O'Shea, before solidifying our defence for years to come!
Alvaro Vadillo
A great right winger. Im hoping he can develop into a Nani type of player with his flair and dribbling, he will be be able to terrorise any team!
Vaclav Kadlec
A great young striker, who can also play left wing. He should develop well, and is is a reasonably cheap option if i can haggle hard enough. If he comes, he will be a great addition to the line-up!
Long Shots
I only have one long shot presently, and that is Tom Cleverley. He is a brilliant player, and i am hoping to loan him for now. If he joins my team, i have no doubt that we can finish in the top half!
Loan Options
Danny Welbeck
Nothing much to say here. He is a quality player and everyone knows it! A season long loan would do wonders for this team
Players on the Radar
Chris Brunt
A great player who is versatile enough to play on both wings. He would be a great signing for this team if the Vadillo and/or cleverly deal falls through
Giovani dos Santos
A good prospect for the future and again would be a good addition should the Vadillo deal fall through
Joaquin
He would be a good addition considering his experience. That would be the main reason i buy him...experience!
Staff Changes
The staff at Sunderland are atrocious. I have no idea how they survived with such a low level of staff. I have decided to reshape the club from top to bottom.

A great home performance with all the goals being scored by the new signings. Joaqiun was the pick of the action though, running riot down the right wing, putting in some delightful crosses and grabbing 2 great assists. A brilliant start to the season!
This is gonna be brilliant! Nice signings by the way. I'm not speaking from expeirence here, I read it somewhere, but Connor Wickham becomes amazing in the future.

I fielded a different team today since Ipswich arent the strongest opponent. We played some delightful football, which was very pleasing to the eye. Again the right wing proved out strongest prong of attack, with Elmohamady leading the assault. The front men paired well too and as a result they both got on the scoresheet.
looking good so far and its always nice when your new signings start well

We played very well, and created several easy chances, but we werent able to put the game to bed! I was frustrated to see us only get 1 point, when we should have secured all 3! Joaquin put in another brilliant performance, terrorising the oppositions left back all game.
cannot wait to see how things go, gud luck mate
