#43861 Geneharper : How much did it cost to buy Ross Barkley? The kid is good enough for anyone.

Had to fork out a princely £20mil, but hopefully he'll pay dues soon enough!

Well the stats speak for themselves. We attacked harder and created more chances, and frankly, we could have won. Unfortunately for us Robin van Persie had a great game, and Arsenal may have grabbed the match if he hadn't been injured. Nonetheless im pleased with a draw

Kadlec out for 4-5 days with a bruised rib

Toloi out for 2-3 weeks with a groin strain

Brunt out for 2 weeks with a twisted knee

It wasn't a great match, and i expected to win by more, especially at home. But QPR really fought hard and the team weren't expecting that. Nevertheless i wont complain about gaining all 3 points today!
As ever, I am extremely impressive with how well you've got your squad working together and how many excellent players you're juggling. I've taken a lot from this, and will use it when I start my Swansea file. My thanks.

Who would you consider to be absolute must-have transfers for a mid-to-lower table PL side with a starting transfer budget of £5-7million?

Also, who are you looking at for your summer transfers?

No problems mate...click the thank you button to thank me :P lol

Must have signings depends wholly on what the current team is like. I always go for a few decent defenders and maybe a good goalie if you dont have one. And defo get one good striker!

Vaclav Kadlec - should come for around £5mil (make sure you pay over 48 months so you can sign a few players)
Sime Vrsaljko - brilliant right back who will only cost you around £2.2mil
Felipe Anderson - great prospect for the future and can put some great performances in his early stages too. But i usually sign him, so he grows into the team. He usually comes for £5.5mil

Other players to consider:
Rafael Toloi - great young defender. He can make a few mistakes but he will score quite a few goals from set pieces and shouldnt cost more than £2.5mil
Lucas Digne - Another young player, who is good at left back. Will develop nicely if you play him regularly. Should come for £2mil

Always keep a look out for transfer listed players and loan players in from bigger clubs. Like i loaned Welbeck in.

Summer Transfers:
Will probably buy a striker since both Welbeck and Bendtner will leave after their loan spell finished. I may also sign a keeper and a good young DM. Will also look to offload some players too.

I wasnt really expecting much, other than to be over-run at Old Trafford. Its a pity to suffer my first defeat, but im honoured that it was against Manchester United. I was disappointed with the front men though, who couldnt shake Vidic and Evans and so didnt even get much of the ball!
Hmmm, too bad for ya :)

Whats youtr position in the standings?

A brilliant home win over Liverpool. The team played superbly with quick movement of the ball. Liverpool didnt know what hit them. I was disappointed with how may yellow cards were dished out today. The ref was awarding yellows for the slightest of touches. Dante was great today, with some delightful passes, some solid defending and a great goal![/img][/img]
