- Manager's blog, February

Lets have it! We're finally getting somewhere. Bit of a half-and-half month but I dont mind, proud my boys are finally gluing together. We're still a bit dodgy at the back but a strong holding midfield and attack are really showing the league whos the boss. Alas! Michael Johnson got a goal, 25-yard screamer. Proud of the lad.

You are doing very well. Do you think playoff is a more likely finishing place or do you think you can get into the automatic promotion spot?

It would be good to see Leeds back in the Premiership and back to their Champions League days - I'm sure you can get them there!

Cattermole was released by Sunderland, not a clue why but my cheif scout prompted me so I snapped him up and yes, Michael Johnson from City, trying to see if he would turn into something. Adequate in his handful of games to be honest.

Im really hoping for second place but I think realistically Im looking to a Play-Off position. Knowing these failing teams have won the European Cup once upon a time makes me want to give them a go in FM. Will update again tomorrow.

My FM ambition is to get Michael Johnson to become something, i've got a save with Notts County (in Championship in 3rd season) where i got him on loan and then signed him on a free, when he plays he is class, he makes a massive difference to my team when he plays but he gets too many little injuries and struggles to keep fit :( his natural fitness is 2 though lol

I'm sure you can get an automatic promotion place :)

These past two months have been full of hope for Leeds United as they've pushed themselves to second place, a position at the start of the season was a mere dream. United boss Joshua Sykes has told media that his squads' return to title-chasing form has found inspiration to press onto league leaders Derby County who had let a nine-point lead slip down to two but Leeds couldnt capitalise after falling at the last hurdle.

March:

[npower Chmps] Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 Leeds United
[npower Chmps] Leeds United 1 - 3 Huddersfield Town
[npower Chmps] Bolton Wanderers 1 - 1 Leeds United
[npower Chmps] Leeds United 0 - 0 Cardiff City
[npower Chmps] Charlton Athletic 1 - 0 Leeds United

April:

[npower Chmps] Leeds United 4 - 0 Birmingham City
[npower Chmps] Leicester City 0 - 3 Leeds United
[npower Chmps] Peterborough United 2 - 3 Leeds United
[npower Chmps] Leeds United 4 - 2 Watford
[npower Chmps] Millwall 1 - 4 Leeds United
[npower Chmps] Burnley 3 - 2 Leeds United

May (Final match):
[npower Chmps] Leeds United 1 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday

Leeds United, promoted to the Premier League

At the start of the 2012/13 season Leeds United found themselves on a snowballing streak of hopeless draws and severe losses and at one point found themselves 23rd in the league, but now they've been crowned npower Championship Runners-Up after a stunning overall comeback from a miserable start to the campaign! Questioned over critism of the FA on multiple occasions, transfer policies and the way he runs his team, Leeds boss Joshua Sykes has surely waved his doubters goodbye but despite feeling confident enough to take over Derby's pole position, a shocking 3-2 loss against Burnley has left the Yorkshire club to settle with second best. The passive-aggresive manager has once again blasted the FA over his team picking up FOUR yellow cards + a sending off.

Joshua Sykes, Leeds United Manager:
To turn around such an unstable start to the season has been a great achievement for the club. We were terrible against Burnley which effectively cost us winning the league but apart from that its been a pleasure to gain promotion. The upcoming pre-season will give us a chance to strengthen the squad for Premier League football. I am confident that we can stay in top-flight football so long as I am in charge, Leeds deserve to be in the Premier League and I'd like to think the fans will get behind the club to ensure this happens

- Manager's blog, May '13
Gutted to have not won the league after closing such a gulf with Derby County. Squad showed overall courage and response to my passive-aggresive approach to football. I'll be spending this entire squad break scouting for new players and coming up with a game plan to stay in the Premier League where Leeds United belong.

Land of hope and glory,
Yorkshire shall be free!
We all follow United,
On to victory!

Heres the final league table. Im angry that we had such a crap final two games but oh well, thats the game.

Thanks for keeping up with the brief updates, this scenario was fun to play with and its good to see one of the original clubs back in the Premier League.

Congratulations on getting promoted! Owners wouldn't be too pleased if you didn't after the big transfer spending anyway. XD
