I pulled up to my new office. Hotspur Way, Enfield. I had always heard of the Spurs prestigious training ground in which so much money had been flooded into but it was a site to behold in person. As I found my new parking spot the usual swarm of reporters flooded in. "Merda" I muttered to myself (Shit). I wasn't in the mood for all of this nonsense. I just wanted to take a look around at where I would be spending much of my hours for the next while. Provided I prove the world wrong.

I pushed my way past the reporters with a smile on my face as to not look too rude. I couldn't handle the excitement I was feeling. Like a boy at christmas I felt. The training grounds looked absolutely pristine and that was just the outside. I made my way into the front entrance and it was even more gorgeous and it had this classy modern feel. I was quickly snatched up by a grinning Levy, my new boss.

He showed me around the grounds and introduced me to a few of the players, which I incidentally had to take pictures with. It was great a nice new experience I had at the club. "Better than at Chelsea," I thought "Bunch of pre-madonas." I definitely could already sense the drive in me to make this club a giant in the Premier league. This is to be my new Porto. My new project. My baby. After the tour I went to the press room where I was to answer a few questions before I took the reigns at my new position.

So how does it feel to be back managing?
Great! I'm eager to get going this training ground is enough to make me want to start the league tomorrow!

Your appointment as manager of Tottenham has been met with a largely mixed bunch of emotions. What do you have to say to that?

I can understand why but, all I can say to the fans is there is only one way to move this club, and that is up. I am going to do everything I can to make sure this happens. So I ask you fans to be patient and loyal as you will see improvement. Not only is my reputation on the line but so is the clubs. For years this club has been fighting to hold a place in the top four and we will make it there I promise.

Whats your first move as manager going to be?

Evaluation. Tonight I will hunker down in my new office and plan. Firstly with myself and then with the club. This club and fans deserve improvement and thats what I am striving to give.

After a few more useless questions the conference was over. I set off with Levy to my new office. Once I got there I asked for some time to myself to do as I said. Evaluate. I walked around the grounds for what seemed hours, planning and thinking. Before I knew it, it was time for me to hed on back home to my family. Before I got to leave Levy took me out to the parking lot. There right in front of me was a brand new 2013 BMW 320i. It was mine. White of course. A spurs edition with a chrome Cockerel in place of the 'i' in the 320i.

I really have been spoiled today. A wonderful facility, club and vehicle. Not to mention Levy who I had heard so much about. Or seen.

The ride home was more than enjoyable. I got to play with new toy and it gave me time to device my plan of action for the coming season. I knew as soon as I got home that football talk was a no no. The family enjoyed football but after years of being around it they had got sick of listening to my plans and for the most part didn't quite understand the difficulties a football manager had. Just the way I liked though. A place to switch off.

Tell me your thoughts on my new story and the way I wrote it thank you :)
Really nice start Inq :)

My first week as manager went well. The first day I talked the players and went out onto the pitch. Doing some easy drills to get started. This made it easy for me to concur what level each player was on. Once we went through the training we went into a room where I went over what formations I wanted to use and how I wanted the team to play. A nice flowing passing game in a 4-2-3-1 formation utilizing the wings with Bale and Lennon.

Each day we moved on in training till we got to a certain level that I was pleased with. On the sunday we had our first game against the Reserves. This would be where I would choose who would be leaving the club.

Spurs vs Spurs Res.

2-1
Lennon 9
Adebayor 67
Holtby Injured during game. Only slight know back the next day.

A good solid win but, nothing more than I expected. This game also showed me that we need a little more depth in the midfield and Left side of the defence. So Huddlestone and Benny will probably be on the way out. I will speak to Levy soon about moving them on. Also a younger striker would be nice to see. Our next game is against Leyton Orient an affiliation team for Spurs.
This is brilliant Sam, keep it up! Good luck Inq! :P
Real nice Inq! Uh.. I mean Sam.. Damn ;)! Hehehehh :P. Pull of a surprise win in the PL :D

With the season getting nearer Levy and I managed to get some great deals on players moving out. Gallas, Bentley and Huddlestone were all on the list to find a new home. With Gallas we put in a cheeky ask for 1.5m when really we would have been happy with as much as 750k. A ludicrous Martin Jol came running and bought him for 1.5m. Silly sod. Bentley went out on loan to Southampton on loan with a future transfer fee of I think 4m. Huddlestone went to for 10m, you guessed it QPR. With 'Arry there now obviously he is gonna try and cherry pick some players from the squad. He already has Jenas and Townsend. Townsend on loan there.

Smug as a bug. I love my job Levy.

Our first signing came in just before the end of July. With Parker and Sandro injured, and Parker also getting on in the years. I spoke to Levy to find a suitable replacement. It only seemed obvious our first choice would be none other than the Latic's James McCarthy. A solid player with a bright future (bought for 9.5m). Ever so excited about him! An unveiling conference was at hand!

So you sit here with your first signing as Tottenham boss. What made you move for McCarthy?

Well we were looking for more depth in the midfield and McCarthy fits that perfectly his skills and youth will help us greatly in the future.

What is your take on Wigan's situation? Relegation and player wise.

To be honest I feel bad in a way. Martinez is a quality manager and deserves all credits for the work he does. It is unfortunate that we had to nab one of his better players. Hopefully the money paid for him will help though.

not much else was said of any interest.

I hope to play McCarthy in our game tomorrow against Orient. Should be a good one to start off the season. I'll be able to rotate the squad during it.
Nice signing, maybe paid a bit too much for him though?

Only 2.75m over his initial value.
