With the introduction of a bunch of new professional teams. The Netherlands has decided to expand their professional football pyramid:
1. Eredivisie: The Eredivisie has been expanded to 20 teams.
- Promotion/relegation: the bottom two teams of the Eredivisie are relegated. The top two teams from Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 are promoted. Places 3rd-8th from Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 play-off together with 18th place from the Eredivisie. Only one of those teams can play in the Eredivisie the season after
2. Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1: The league has stayed the same except b teams have been removed.
- Promotion/relegation: The bottom 3 teams from Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 are relegated. The top two from Keuken Kampioen Divisie 2 are promoted. 16th and 17th from Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 and 3rd-6th from Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 playoff. In the playoffs all participating teams play each other once in a league. Teams finished 1st-3rd play Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 the year after and 4th-6th play Keuken Kampioen Divisie 2 the year after.
3. Keuken Kampioen Divisie 2: consist of 22 teams each playing each other twice. There is no relegation in this league.
Keuken Kampioen Divisie 1 and Keuken Kampioen Divisie 2 will also play in the newly created Keuken Kampioen Divisie Cup.
The country of Brussels will still have the Jupiler pro league and Challenger Pro League. But changes have been made to keep the leagues competitive:
1. Jupiler pro league: partly professional, partly amateur at the start of a save. The league consists of 12 teams. Each team plays each other twice before splitting the league into 2. With 1st-6th place and 7th-12th place playing each other twice more.
- Promotion/relegation: the bottom two teams from the Jupiler Pro League are automatically relegated. The top two teams from the Challenger pro League are promoted. 3rd and 4th from the Challenger Pro League play one match to decide who will play against 10th place from the Jupiler Pro League. The winner of that match will play in the Jupiler Pro League with the other playing in the Challenger Pro League the season after.
3. Challenger Pro League: fully amateur at start of save. Consist of 22 teams playing each other twice.
The leagues of Brussels have lost significant sponsor money and reputation due to the decrease of level in the leagues. The uefa has therefore decided to half their club coefficients. The Government of Brussels has decided to give every club in their football pyramid 2 million euros per year for the coming 6 years in an attempt to make the 2 divisions fully professional.
France has kept their league pyramid the same.
Clubs have been filtered into their respective leagues by their reputation compared to teams already in that league.
Belgian players that aren’t born in Brussels have changed their nationality to either the Netherlands or France depending on the region they were born in. Players that represented Belgium but weren't born in Belgium will have the nations Netherlands, France and Brussels as second nationality so they can decide their own nation to represent.
So, will you build up the nation of Brussels and attempt to bring the Jupiler pro League back to their original reputation level? Or become the manager of a former Belgian club taking over either the French or Dutch Leagues? Or maybe even try to profit from the nationality changes by taking over the French or Dutch national team with stars such as Openda and Witsel joining France and Courtois and de Bruyne joining the Netherlands? There are endless amounts of possibilities within this database.
