This is my first tactics upload.
Took me 20 seasons to perfect this tactical approach.

That's the problem with this formation. You are vulnerable down the wings yet you currently also rely on creativity from that area as well. It's a bit of a paradox.

I would say in defensive situations you need to get the creativity from your area of strength which is through the middle. Personally I would change your two Mez's to Carrielo's & your CM to DLPD. This will give you a more solid midfield base but also add a creative element from that area. That way your APA could get more involved as well as he would have more room to operate in, he would become more of a focal point for your attacking transition.

The relationship between your two Mez's & the APA seems crucial to your creativity in all situations. Some AI teams will focus the APA, some the Mez's. you would have to be very aware of these situations & adjust accordingly to be the most effective. In attacking situations where you go more supporting with the mez's you could go more attacking with the WB's & vice versa.

No, did not test supporting Mez's. Testet with more defensive DM instead of BWM. But with that I did not score as often. Also tried with shadow striker, but that was also no good. Tested with FWB also, but that way stronger opponents with good wingers overrun my defense too often. Aslo tried with ball-playing defenders. But I needed the two central defenders to stay in the back defending.

And yes. I have problems with good wingers of the opponent. In champions league I normally do not go further than quater final. One it one time because I did a more defensive approach on away games and had some luck with the draw ;-)

As I write this: The more defensive approach is with supporting Mez's :-D And with defensive WB. But that way I do not score much often. It's more for games I want an 0-0 or 1-1 or need to defend a victory of first leg or somthing like that.

Impressive... & I love the fact you have taken a less fancied team in Germany with this.

As you say would need testing at all levels ideally but as a base tactic it does have a very nice balance. I would be concerned against teams with very good wingers/wide play but that could be protected against with some pre/in game tweaks.

Did you ever try the two Mez's on support duty rather than attack? Particularly the one on the TM's side.

Managing Eintracht Frankfurt. Starting 3rd in the first season. Being able to reach one of the first six places in every season. First championship in season five. Dortmund, Bayern, Wolfsburg, Leipzig hadvbetter teams in my whole career.

Maybe have to test tactic in new career or with other team. Is the first one I was dominating Bundesliga after altering it over some seasons.

Latest season ended with records in most goals for (105 - 14). Unbeaten in Bundesliga with most won games ever (31-3-0) and nearly every player scored one or more times. 40 unbeaten Bundesliga games in a row and still counting.

If you are Bayern, Dortmund or RBL then I'll be disappointed...

Which team(s) this was tested with? It would be nice to see some screens with results (league table, fixtures). And maybe some quick tips for what works best in terms of suitable players and training/OIs/etc.
