Dark skin for FM 2016 regular career mode and widescreens (1920x1080).

Well, I know I said that the version 2.2 of FlutSkin was the last version for this season (FM16). However, I already should know that the edition of a skin is a “never ending story”…
Thus, I'm pleased to present you the version 2.3 of FLUTSkin Dark for FM16.

Once again, thanks to all FM fans and especially to all of the fantastic FM skinners who contribute a lot to produce the FLUTSkin as it is today since FM 2013.

Compatible with DF11, Scope and Cutout Faces.

Compatible with Backgrounds (however, some of them will not be shown, instead, the citypics will be displayed).

Released: 29 August, 2016

Resolution requirements

This skin was made to work properly in 1920x1080 full screen mode. As a result, some panels won’t work properly in other resolutions (and also in 1920x1080 windowed mode).

The changes (some of them are just minor changes) in this version are in the following panels:

Stadium Overview Panel
Game Processing
Calendar Popup Panel
Club General Panel
Nation General Panel
Team Report Panel
Manager Home Panel

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. In this pack I included a TUTORIAL PDF with instructions regarding the structure of your Graphics folder in order to view the citypics, the kits and the competition logos in player details and in title bar.

2. I also included a folder with the files you need to use in order to remove the attributes background boxes (you just have to place the files of that folder in the panels folder of the skin and overwrite the originals)

You can download the FOOTBALL MANAGER BACKGROUNDS SUPERPACK or the City Pics MEGAPACK v4.0 to further enhance the skin.

How to add Flut dark skin in FM16

Download and extract the .rar file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Place the "fm2016flutskindark" folder here:
Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2016\skins
Create the folder "skins" if it doesn't exist.

Start FM16 and go to Preferences screen and then into the Interface tab.
You should see FM 2016 Flut Skin - v.2.3 - Dark Version as option in the skin drop down of the Overview box.
Hit the Confirm button.

Please note this skin is provided as is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them.

Hi Nazprel: Thanks ;-) Concerning the kits please read the tutorial (pdf). I explain in that document how to make it work.

Hi Raja: You just have to go to the settings.xml, search for the following code, and change the values.

I have just one now.
I can see the kits on the player page .

I'm sharing the two files that I edited. You can use them if u are looking for more info on Tactics and match screens.

1. Customized the Floating window in the match screen to provide ample and necessary info during the match. Enable "Home" team match ratings floating window.

2. Reduced the size of the pitch screen in Tactics panel which helps u see more stats about ur players and aids in Team selections.

Cool dude!!! Thanks. It worked. Now I'm able to see more stats in the Tactics screen and select my First 11 with ease....

I know you have published an user guide to get rid of the Background color for the attributes. Can you tell me how do I change the bg color? say, I'd like to change the pink to dark red, green to dark green, ...

Where do I change them?

Go to the panels folder and open the tactics overview panel.xml

Search for

In order to reduce the pitch you have to change the values maximum_width="508" and width="508" by smaller values.

In order to use the kits change use_overview_icons by use_player_kits_back. However you will lose some information currently below the “kits”.

@butleriain: you have to edit match pre match panel.xml (in the panels folder)

Search for the following code and change layout="-3,-1" by layout="-2,-1"

hi fly, sorry for peppering you with questions. I guess its to do with my screen resolution but which panel do i need to change to adjust the settings on the attached screen so the text does not overlap onto the icons on this screen.

Im sorry but i cant help you, i have no idea how to create a skin or sth like that. ^^
I was just able to change it because Flut made an amazing job and wrote infos in his settings, so i tried to change some and it works for me. I thought it could be working for everyone but if not, im not confident to help you :-/

Flut,
By any means, is there a way to reduce the size of the formation screen in the Tactics panel? Also is there a way to embed the players pictures in the screen instead of the squad #s?

@Kevinho23 Looks like your file is changing the color to GREEN in the adjacent panel "Animation screen". It does not look to change the color in the attributes panel.

@Kevinho23 - It does not work for me. I replaced the file in Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2016\skins\fm2016flutskindark\settings.

I restarted FM, cleared cache, Reloaded the skin too.

Can you tell me what am I missing here?

for all those who dont wanna deal with the orange "excellent" attribute colour, i just changed the settings in a darker green. Its a fast way to fix this without changing any codes...^^

Flut,
I love the new edition. Especially the modification to the STATS window during match. You are awesome dude!!! Is there any way I can customize the Columns in the "Team ratings" screen highlighted in the image below? If I edit any code in the XML will I able to remove or add new values to the STAT box?

Hi kabalyer. Sorry to disappointed you. In fact I couldn't see yet what kind of information I should change in order to include other more important information. I know some information are duplicated but I tried to keep it in logic places (e.g., the signature behind the face, the date of birth also there and so on). In my opinion, even some duplicated information, although unnecessary goes well where it appear (but is a question of personal taste of course) I just add more small windows because some information don't need large windows and then we can add more information directly visible in the panel. You know, I thought (think) a lot in how can I improve the panel, however for me is not easy to do it, maybe because I like it in that way, maybe because I have no new ideas...However if you have a specific suggestion it will be welcomed and I can thought about it and try to include it (or change it).

Hi kevinho if you search in the posts you can find how to do it. Also I included a pdf explaining how to remove all the background boxes in the attributes and return to the default view. You just have to go to the specific xmls I indicate, search the code I put in black and change by the code I write in red (in that pdf).

Nothing has changed in the profile of the player, but there are more small windows on the left. Just a lot of unnecessary and repetitive information. What for? I waited so long for your skin to start the game, but I'm disappointed in you ...
