Genie Scout 17 "g" edition now free!

As of October 18th, the special "g" edition of Genie Scout is available for free! Normally this edition requires a license and is only given to Eugene's direct supporters who donate to keep the development of this brilliant tool alive.
Genie Scout 17g has no ads and includes a couple of extra features, such as search by role rating and probability of development.

We don't allow sharing Genie Scout 17 directly on other sites. Please point the download link to this very page. You cannot host any files yourself.

Does it work for Mac or Linux?
No. However, we exclusively release another scouting tool for Mac OS X users:

How to run GS17

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2017 and load your saved game.

Launch Genie Scout 17 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to Eugene to get the "g" edition

As usual, Genie Scout 17 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads.

The "g" edition has no ads and includes a couple of minor extra features.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Eugene.

Update: As of October 18th, the "g" edition of GS for FM17 is made public and doesn't require a license!

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link and a key file. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

IMPORTANT:
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, Eugene fixed most bugs that came to surface. As a result, the public edition should be quite stable from its very first version.

Should you find a bug, please report it to the Genie Scout forum.
Read this before submitting any bugs!

Known issue: Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

GS17 won't work with public beta builds. Disable that, re-open FM17 and it should work. I don't know what's up with those of you who seem unable to load their saved games after disabling public beta. Surely that shouldn't happen, so it's worth reporting on SI forums as a possible bug.

@ugurkib: I'm afraid SI have made sale value impossible to crack. But this has been the case for some years now, it's not new.

@bellidne: Disable the public beta option and restart Steam? Verify integrity of game cache if needed (though doing that will effectively "cancel" the real names fix, if you have installed one; and you'd have to apply it again).

Hi Stam yes I thought there wasn't an update. But someting updated on the game. I was using the genie scout on monday and yesterday it stopped working. I am a fully paid G member and have been for several years. I Do have public beta selected after checking my steam. Is there anyway around this to continue using Genie scout or am I stuffed?

@bellidne: No new patch was released. There was a minor update for those who have opted to use public beta builds which basically disables beta updates and forces a re-install (if I can recall). GS (and every other tool available in the market) doesn't support public beta builds.

@Loverboymk: I think Eugene must have replied to you via email on that.

@catikx: When saying you can't use it, I'm guessing the data appears wrong. Most likely you changed/formatted computer or upgraded Windows. When you do that, your unique ID changes and as a result your key file no longer works. You need to email Eugene and pass him your new ID.

@Toonrock: Try reporting your issue in some more detail on the GS forum. Still, he should still reply to your email; he normally replies to his GS related emails once a day.

@xanderhn: You'll need to have FM Touch for Windows for GS17 to work.

@Gunner_Youri: I don't see you posted anything in the GS forum. The comments section here is not the place to report issues. Did you email Eugene?

i have a query. i am trying to use fm genie scout 17 for my ipad (fm touch 17) game (all data files downloaded to computer from itunes) but even i am running with adminstration rights always getting "fm is not found" error.

is it not possible to use GS for ipad fm touch 17 ?

Have anyone problems with GenieScout and see how the player looks like when maximized potensial? When I am trying this, the PA goes to 0, and all numbers goes about zero all over the place.
