FM Genie Scout (or Genie Scout in short) is world's most popular scouting tool for Football Manager, created to extend the possibilities of finding, sorting and shortlisting players and staff, controlling their progress, making "first 11" and tactics choice easier and observing attributes invisible in FM.

Does it work for Mac or Linux?
No.

Can I use it to edit attributes and other details?
No. However, we might release a real time editor soon.

How to run GS24

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2024 and load your saved game.

Launch Genie Scout 24 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to Support GS & get the "g" edition

As usual, Genie Scout 24 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads.

The "g" edition has no ads and includes a few minor extra features.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Support GS.

Genie Scout 24g Explained

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
The process of distribution for the "g" edition has been automatized, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link. Another email containing the key file might take a while though. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please reach out to the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, most bugs that came to surface were fixed. As a result, the public edition should be reasonably stable from its very first version.

Should you find a bug, please report it to the Genie Scout forum.
Read this before submitting any bugs!

Known issues:
- Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.
- In-Game Scout ('g' edition feature) doesn't currently work.
- The image on the setup screen shows GS23 (ignore it, we'll update that picture soon)

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

After my SSD died, I had a new one put in and had to reinstall everything including genie scout.My old key no longer worked, probably due to the unique ID having changed. I have sent 2 emails with this info and had no reply after 5 days. Any suggestions anyone?

After the latest update i had problems with loading the fm game to fm scout. Yesterday tried something and it worked. So when you open the fm scout (im talking about the public version) the first page is on "Players List" i went to "My Shortlist" page and after that the game was loading successfully.

This is a solution for the public version and only for the error "Data not found"

I hope some of you can fix it

@kjell_olsen I am having the same issue as of the morning. I can load the game and view all player data, however when i save a shortlist, import it into the game and then try 'Load player list' under 'My Shortlist' it says 'no players available for loading'.
Does any body know how to fix this? I don't recall a recent up to to FM or GS which has maybe triggered it to not work

GS is saying i need a key file . i have just paid and downloaded but positions and other things for players are wrong . and i cannot find Eugenes email. i have my unique ID

As of this morning I cannot get a shortlist to open in GS. I can load data, and pull up my team list, but no shortlists. I have tried reloading, checking for updates, resaving shortlists with different names. Nothing works. Anyone else having issues or managed to fix?

My G Edition of Genie scout still works but its certainly the most buggy/slow version i've owned.

For example I never use to have an issue when having the player search results screen up. Simply hit the 2nd icon in front the top left with the 1 green arrow and it would load the players from that search in genie scout. However with the latest update more often than not the error check you have a list loaded stuff will appear. My get around seems to be when wanting a search field to show up I quickly have to tab back into game and change to a shortlist (anyone doesnt matter) and let that load in genie scout. Then any normal functions work beyond that.

Also my G edition seems to be really slow. Like for anyone that has used the free genie scout and the G edition they will have noticed the G edition is massively quicker. However since the last update double clicking a player or simply searching takes forever. Not sure if this is something those in power are aware of.

I'm getting this

And when I go to check for an update I get the "An error was encountered while trying to get version info"

I just redownloaded it and it's still giving the error, tried different saves

I'll try again tomorrow when I've launched the game again, in case it's somehow giving me a false flag
