FM Genie Scout (or Genie Scout in short) is world's most popular scouting tool for Football Manager, created to extend the possibilities of finding, sorting and shortlisting players and staff, controlling their progress, making "first 11" and tactics choice easier and observing attributes invisible in FM.

We don't allow sharing Genie Scout 24 directly on other sites. Please point the download link to this very page. You cannot host any files yourself.

Does it work for Mac or Linux?
No.

Can I use it to edit attributes and other details?
No. However, we might release a real time editor soon.

How to run GS24

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2024 and load your saved game.

Launch Genie Scout 24 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to Support GS & get the "g" edition

As usual, Genie Scout 24 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads.

The "g" edition has no ads and includes a few minor extra features.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Support GS.

Genie Scout 24g Explained

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
The process of distribution for the "g" edition has been automatized, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link. Another email containing the key file might take a while though. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please reach out to the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, most bugs that came to surface were fixed. As a result, the public edition should be reasonably stable from its very first version.

Should you find a bug, please report it to the Genie Scout forum.
Read this before submitting any bugs!

Known issues:
- Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.
- In-Game Scout ('g' edition feature) doesn't currently work.
- The image on the setup screen shows GS23 (ignore it, we'll update that picture soon)

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

@Sidanger j ai copié collé le depot 2252572 dans le dossier fm24 mais j ai toujours la derniere version. on doit supprimer quelque chose dans le dossier de base pour que ca marche?

I tried the @sidanger solution but it worked only in my free fm genie version can somebody verify tht is working at g version too? Thanks

The new update moved all my files and nothing worked except the game default mode. After hours of trying to salvage it, I had to re install the fm24 and then put in my add ons. Everything now works except for FM Genie Scout 24. Hope they fix it soon

For all those like me that forgot to turn automatic updates off and genie stopping working due to the latest update, below is a link to a guide that explains how to revert steam update should you wish with easy to follow example. sidanger has explained it well, however here is a link showing how if you prefer a visual explanation showing how easy it is using another game as an example.

@[email protected] just put Steam in offline mode so it doesn't update after overwriting the files. No, it needs to be the folder where fm.exe file is, the one you've listed is where saved games, tactics, etc is which is different

@marfsime worked for me on paid version, make sure you''re ofline on Steam and don't update again. Maybe try free version too

@kronen Genie scout is a product. Public versions have ads, you need to "donate" to get more improved and add free G edition. I am okay with this. I am okay with waiting couple of days, but knowing when will it be updated would be good. So, yeah communication would be nice.

@Maekas No, this is not a product you paid for. You made a donation to the developer because you wanted to. As a thank-you, he gave you access to a full-featured version of the app, but nowhere in the donation terms does it say it will keep working with future patches. Also, there is no "we" — it's just one guy. So no "We are aware" or "We apologize." At most, he could say "I'm aware" or "I apologize that the kid can't play Football Manager without cheating."

@sidanger I followed the instructions and went back to the previous version but it still doesn't work..I honestly don't understand. Maybe because I have the paid version?

It would be nice if we got any sort of communication about updating the GS. Especially since this is a product that people can pay for.

A simple "We are aware of the issue, we are aiming to get it fixed by X. We apologize for the inconvenience." message would be a good starting point.

Goto Run from your Windows search bar at the bottom and run steam://open/console

Then in the console tab on steam enter:
download_depot 2252570 2252572 2520387396210855964

Then find that update in your Steam folder, mine was C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_2252570\depot_2252572

Then copy those files over your actual FM24 folder and run game again
