Cypriot football league system

Cypriot A Division

1st Stage:
14 teams – 26 games (teams play each other twice).
Top four teams qualify for Championship Group (Group A).
Teams placed 5th – 8th qualify for Group B.
Teams placed 9th – 12th qualify for Relegation Group (Group C).
Bottom two teams are relegated to B Division.

2nd Stage:
Teams form the three groups (all the teams carry their points from 1st stage).
Championship Group: 4 teams – 6 games (teams play each other twice) Top team are champions.
Group B: 4 teams - 6 games (teams play each other twice) Top team gets 5th place.
Relegation Group: 4 teams - 6 games (teams play each other twice) Bottom team are relegated to B Division.

Cypriot B Division

1st Stage:
14 teams – 26 games (teams play each other twice).
Top four teams qualify for Promotion Group.
Bottom three teams are relegated.

2nd Stage:
The qualified teams form the Promotion Group (all the teams carry their points from 1st stage). 4 teams - 6 games (teams play each other twice) Top 3 teams are promoted to A Division.

Coca Cola Cup

1st Round: 24 teams start (home/away) 12 teams qualify for the next round.
2nd Round: Previous years' semifinalists (4 teams) enter the competition – 16 teams (home/away) 8 teams qualify for the next round
Quarter Finals: 8 teams (home/away) 4 teams qualify for the next round.
Semi Finals: 4 teams (home/away) 2 teams qualify for the final.
Final: One match – winner qualifies for European competitions.

LTV Super Cup

One match (before new season starts) between defending champion and cup holder (if score is level after 90 minutes, the game goes to penalties).


Tip:When you add an new manager, in case you want to select a Cypriot team as you favorite team: click "choose other" in the Favorite Team panel, and write your team in the search panel.

Move Cyprus.xml in your Football Manager 2013 editor data folder:

Win Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2013\editor data\
Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2013\editor data\
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2013/editor data/

Create the folder "editor data" if it doesn't exist.
