The 17.1.1 patch merely addresses a stability issue related to starting a career game in Sweden.

As usual the update is save game compatible, so you don't have to start a new save game to apply the fixes.
To update you will need to close down Football Manager 2018 and re-launch for it to update. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated, you will need to restart Steam.
Even if that doesn't do the trick, then verify the game cache will.

Did the following 3 times , deleteing cache , pref , reinstalled the game and veryfied. The game launches perfectly , i play , but when i go back to the menu and press new career , it freezes. In task management is see the ex is staging , whatver that may mean ? My pc does have the min recuirements to play the game.
