How to fix fake competition and club names in FM 2019
- Quit the game (if it's open).
- Extract the contents of the pack you downloaded from here to a temporary location. You'll need them for step 6.
- Find the 1930 folder.
Windows:

- Open the lnc folder and then enter the all sub-folder.
- Delete the following 3 files:

- Move Daniel-Stam FM19 Fix.lnc and Daniel-Stam FM19 Club Names.lnc inside this all folder.
- Go 2 folders back to find the edt folder.
Open it and then enter the permanent sub-folder. - Delete the file "fake.edt".

Brazilian clubs have three-letter names in my game. How to fix?
Even though Brazilian club names are fixed in our files, the game will continue to show the 3-letter name instead of the full name. That is due to certain dbc files that affect them when you save your game for the first time. You need to start a new save AFTER applying this fix (in full), for Brazilian team names to be correct.I applied the fix, but I'm still seeing some wrong club names.
During career game set up, you will still see incorrect names for three Spanish clubs, but once you select your club and start playing, the names will be correct.Don't like a name? Change it!
Open the fix file in a text editor such as Notepad, search for the name you want to change, change it, and save. It's really that simple. The fix will apply the next time you start FM19.Where is Application Support folder on Mac OS X
Mac users who have trouble locating their Application Support folder, please follow these steps:- Open the "Go to Folder" menu
- Enter the path of the Application Support folder
- Copy the following path and paste it into the "Go to Folder" input field.
~/Library/Application Support - Finally click "Go" to go to the folder.

Discussion: Football Manager 2019 Real Names Licence Fix
161 comments have been posted so far.
My comment wasn't about the competition names being wrong but international competitions names missing (ex: Libertadores Cup, Africa Cup of Nations, and so on)
I have FM19 installed via steam with your serial. Everything works well, but i can't find FM19 folder in common folder as per your video. I also can't find 1901 folder via Windows search. Windows 10 64bit. Please help
Would it be possible to change the second division in Belgium to his official name ? "Proximus League"
Thanks !
That being said, there 3 main flaws to this files:
1. It edits lots of teams names that doesn't need to be edited (for instance, "Nacional" from Uruguay is known as that, "Nacional" not as "Club Nacional" as it's added into the files. Same goes for other teams from Argentina, such as "Colón" which was edited to "Colon Santa Fe"
This names are correct in FM. No need to edit them to wrong names.
2. It also edits lots of competitions to wrong names. For instance, Uruguayan third level is edited to "Segunda Division Amateur", while its real name is "Segunda B Nacional".
This competitions naming are correct. There's no need to edit them.
3. Lots of ortographic mistakes.
-Spanish names lacks accentuation and diacritics ("Primera Division" instead of "Primera División", for instance), particular letters ("Peñarol" was edited to "Penarol". Why? Same goes for other teams like Cerro Porteño)
Portuguese names also lacks diacritics and special letters, such as "ç" or its special diacritics ("Gremio" instead of "Grêmio", or "Sao Paulo" instead of "São Paulo").
Overall, I think it's a good job, but has its flaws (important to me).
I feel it could be the definitive renaming files if the ortogrpahic mistakes are fixed, and if club and competitions names are changed only were needed.
I assume anglicized text is not widely appreciated (e.g. Cologne instead of 1. FC Köln), so I'll make an effort to bring back "original" names where possible.
I've taken note of all comments so far, but let me know if there are any mistakes or certain stuff missing. Thanks!
P.S. Comments asking whether this is working or not, will be removed on sight.
@ilpomodore: Has nothing to do with real names fix.
@michaelandrews: Which competitions have wrong names?
UPDATE: I stupidly overlooked the footnote at the end of the entry above. Problem solved.

I recently saw that you have changed the names as how you like them to be so fair play.
These files used to have international competitions names also fixed, but I've only saw the national competitions. Will it be available in the next version ?
