Football Manager 2020 Tactics - The Joker 4-3-3 // FM20 Tactic

Overview

The idea behind the tactic is to control the ball, moving it up the pitch using a shorter but dynamic passing game. The shape is asymmetric allowing the ball to be passed quickly between the lines to unsettle the opposition. The team will spread the pitch wide giving players space to play with the aim of occupying and attacking the half spaces.

Without the ball the team will neither counter press or regroup, instead the team will decide on a situation by situation basis, if the ball is turnover high up the pitch they will then aim to press higher and squeeze the opposition. If the opponent has the ball in our half then the team will look to regroup and be more pragmatic and harder to break down. The team will use both the higher line of engagement and defensive line to limit the space for the opponents to play in. The team will be more urgent with their pressing to harrass and disrupt the options of the opponents, with the aim of forcing the ball long or to win the ball outright as high up the pitch as possible. The team will try to cut the passing lanes and retain a structure to their defensive shape, to prevent gaps from opening which would allowi teams to play dangerous passes into the vacated spaces.

@ulldu - I just downloaded the tactic and loaded it in-game and its the same as above.

Yeah, downloaded it twice and it resembles a 3-4-3, theres a SV and mez in midfield with a AF and DLF up front.
