Football Manager 2024 League Updates - FM 2024 England Lower Leagues to Level 20

As always, this will be the biggest English database available to play for Football Manager 2024. The largest database on Football Manager will be back for another installment.

You can manage a club 20 leagues down the English football pyramid. By the time you reach Premier League (assuming you can win consecutive promotions every year), all real players would be probably retired and you'd be in a fantastic football world filled with newgens.

This England Level 20 database for FM24 includes real structure and rules, as well as all the cups.
It's complete down to level 20. A Gargantuan task no doubt.

How to unlock England Level 20 in FM 2024

Move the downloaded E20 - England Level 20.fmf file to:
\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\editor data\
Create folder "editor data" if it doesn't exist already.

Open Football Manager 2024 and start a new career, In the top right of the screen, under "Database", make sure this file is selected.

It is recommended that you select "Add players to playable teams" from the Advanced Options box when selecting your leagues, otherwise 99% teams will have greyed out players however this slows down the game speed. If left unticked the game runs faster however there are less players to pick from in-game.

Also make sure to load all players from England using the Advanced... Database Size options.

Note: Despite his best efforts there will be some strange club movements into leagues not in their region, unfortunately the game itself isn't clever enough to stop this.

I'm having a lot of fun with this database down at Level 20, but the game speed despite being 5 stars is incredibly slow, sometimes taking up to a minute to move a day. Is there any way to speed this up and still play at Level 20?

When I make any adjustments to the Advanced rules, even just a prize money update to 1 record, when I re-validate it comes up with Oxfordshire Senior League Division Three: Could not find rules for division with 10 teams. Has anyone been able to resolve this? I've checked the obvious like correct number of teams in the league etc, which is 11.Thanks

RPGFan - that's how it is in real life. Staff double up on jobs - your scout is your assistant manager; your DoF is your physio and so on. You don't need income anyway - there's no one needs paying, and the board take care of the rest.

It's a great way to work your way up, however the bad part is there is no way to generate income unless one cheats.

Scouting budget is allocated at $19.5 K however friendlies matches generate zero income or close to zero, staff availability is also non existent.

Hi Dan, you have done an amazing job with this and I am currently playing a Skipton town save in level 13.
I wanted all the logos and possibly kits, so I downloaded the English lower league graphics that you created for FM20 as this as the Skipton town logo but when I have added it to the FM24 graphics folder, it doesn't seem to show up in the game. Is there a way to fix this?

@markpickers Yes, so long as there is no direct conflict, such as a separate file that adds a fantasy Welsh league with non-league Welsh clubs in both systems.

I think you are visually missing the tickbox. When game asks you to choose from 24.03 and FM 2024 default data, there are options below the screen before advancing into next page. For me, this database doesn't work with 24.03 but then I choose default FM 2024 option and it becomes available, then I click the tickbox. It works like a charm. Are you sure you put the fmf file under "editor data" file?

hi, Ive recently purchased the free FM24 game from epic and seen this post about adding lower leagues. however, ive downloaded and followed the steps above but this doesn't seem to be working. When i try to find the database on the game it only have the two inbuilt databases from 24.03.23 & FM 2024.

Any ideas how I can get it to work for mac?

I'm getting a bug where, going from Step 5 to 4, I change from a 300 seater stadium to a 1,500 one, but then going to 4 to 3, I then change back to the same 300 seater one, despite it being against the rules of Step 3. The minimum at that level is 1,950, so I should be going to a larger stadium, not a smaller one!

Hi Dan. Absolutely stellar work creating all the way down to level 20. I'm starting in the Cumberland League Division One at level 13. I was just wondering if it would be possible to add the Cumberland League divisional cup for clubs in the Cumberland Prem and D1, and the Fred Conway Senior Cup (Info here - https://www.cumberlandfa.com/cups-and-competitions/cups/2022-2023/cumberland-cup)

With just two rounds of games in leagues of 8 or 9 teams and no other competition at that level, there is gaps of a month between fixtures so it would be great to have a cup or two.

Does not seem to work, if I want to start at level 20 , adding all players from England, game gets stuck in "setting up league and cup competition" and does not move beyond that. So frustrating.
