Specific platform release dates will follow once confirmed.
In September we got the announcement about how they needed to push FM25’s original release back to give themselves more time to deliver the best possible experience for this first instalment in a new era of Football Manager.
Sadly this additional time has not been sufficient to ensure the game quality and experience meets expectations.
Many things have been moving slower than they had predicted, while the tight timelines put an enormous amount of pressure on everyone working across the studio.
FM25 is expected to be the biggest technical and visual advancement in the series for a generation.
In that sense, I reckon it's not a bad choice by SI to delay the game launch further. Because there would be major risk of compromising the delivery of this crucial juncture in Football Manager’s history by rushing to release it in November.
If you have already pre-ordered the game, given the delay, should you wish to claim a refund, please contact your retailer.
For those of you who pre-ordered through FM Scout and would like a refund, please send an email to [email protected]
On the bright side, SI were able to confirm today that there will be Advanced Access (aka Beta) for pre-orders ahead of the new release date. There's no scheduled date for that yet.
Another change is that Roadmap for feature reveals is no longer valid. The new gameplay reveal will now move to the end of January 2025.
While all that is massively disappointing for everyone, we have to respect this choice and be more patient.
After all, we still have FM24 and dozens of great addons to fall back on.

The whole process was mishandled, even before fm24 came out. Conclusion: Incompetence (and incompetence pays dearly)
