The issue in the database is that the rules forcing teams to play opponents from other groups are hardcoded in the Advanced Rules under Stage 1 Group > League Settings > Match Plan Rules > Custom Match Plan. This is where the matches are defined and it’s an absolute mess. I disabled this section and made other, more logical adjustments inspired by the Turkish Cup.
Teams are drawn from three seeded pots, just like in real life, and each team plays one match against a team from each pot within its own group. All matches from both the Group Stage and the Knockout Stage are televised and scheduled correctly.
Teams advancing to the Quarter‑Finals follow the real‑life format: A1 vs B2, B1 vs A2, C1 vs D2, D1 vs C2.
Compatible with version 26.02.
