#1. Paris Saint-Germain: Rêvons plus grand
With Laurent Blanc wanting a change of scenery, and thus resigning from his post as Paris Saint Germain manager, many people were left in shock. Then came another shock, but this one pleased many fans, with Brazilian icon Ronaldinho appointed as the new boss of the French giants. With a strong squad and huge financial resources at his disposal, expectation is high from fans, meaning it is a very interesting season ahead for PSG.
This story may have only just started with only three updates released, however, AlexTHFC is already showing promise with the quality and detail in his writing so far. His presentation is very neat and his introduction of a recap feature at the end of each update is very unique, being one of the strong points in his story to date. Something which he should look to include soon, will be graphics to visually make it that more appealing. Another potential stumbling block for any new story is consistency. It remains to be seen whether Alex will be able to stick with this new adventure, but if he can do so and address graphics as already mentioned, then I can’t see why this story can’t become successful.

#2. I Gondolieri - A New Club in Italy
When Italian Serie B club Ternana Calcio were expelled from professional football, there was noticeably a gap in the league and action was needed. It didn’t take long though, with English businessman Thomas Allery announcing the formation of a new club to take its place. With Alessandro Nesta in place as manager and Paolo Maldini as the Chief Scout, a bright future surely lays ahead for AS Venezia.
This is a very unique idea here, so plaudits have to go to tallery1164 here for the creation of this story. Another member AAN is also a part of this story, writing a few updates from time to time, and both have some fairly good writing. The content and graphics are what stand out though, and are definitely what pulls me in to read. I do think, that the writing and perhaps some aspects of presentation can be worked on however, as this is by no means the finished article in terms of the quality. If both of these members can address this, then this could potentially continue to attract more popularity due to its originality and continue to earn recognition.

#3. S.S. Lazio - Champions of Italy
After Stefano Pioli’s departure from Lazio, nobody ever expected an Englishman with no previous managerial experience to be the replacement. However, this was exactly what happened with Matt Cox taking charge of the Serie A side following a glowing review from Roberto Mancini. Over the course of the new season, any doubters of Cox were wiped away as the Rome based club completed a famous league and cup double. What lies in store next, what with Champions League football to contend with, is still unknown. But after a sudden twist, with Cox set to take over as the new president of Lazio, things will certainly be tough for the club now.
In what is his first story on the site, MCox93 has done an admirable job with his writing to date. His presentation is also another big plus as is his use of manipulations for new signings, proving that he is also good with graphics. He may be taking a little break with the creation of another story to take away some of time, but this is still a worthwhile read even if you may not see regular updates at the moment. I for one believe, that this could be a worthy contender for Story of the Month as it is strong in all aspects of story writing.

#4. ]Atlético Madrid: Los Rojiblancos are Back on Track
Fans were left stunned after an incredible turn of events saw Antonio Conte and Diego Simeone virtually trade roles with Simeone resigning from his role at Atletico to take up the vacant position at Juventus after Conte had resigned from his post, and then Conte himself moving to Atletico Madrid. With the addition of players such as Alessandro Florenzi and Maxime Gonalons, the season ahead is looking bright for Conte’s boys, only to be brought back to reality by a 6-1 crushing from Barcelona. Will this defeat impact the rest of the campaign or can Los Rojiblancos bounce back and get back on track for some success this season?
Again, we have another new story writer here in the form of dialsquare. Nonetheless, he has proved to be perectly adequate at writing, so far turning in some spectacular updates. His presentation is easy on the eye, and in general very neatly laid out, and his writing itself is very detailed. He could look at the inclusion of graphics but I can only see that as an aspect to work on, and think that personally this could go onto win Story of the Month in the future.

#5. Valencia - Catching Up
After slipping in recent years, previously part of the big three in Spain, Valencia are in need of a revamp. Something of a new era. Who else better to lead the club than legendary former goalkeeper of Valencia, Santiago Cañizares? After securing an excellent 2nd place spot and thus Champions League football in his first season, heading into December of the second season and even more improvement has been made with the club flying at the top of La Liga.
ASR-PSV has most certainly shown quality in this story so far, with his writing skills being a highlight. His presentation is also very nice, always keeping the readers intrigued with what they are seeing. I know he is also good with graphics so it would be nice to see more than just kits, meaning there is room for improvement here. Overall though, this story is looking good for the future and could maybe even challenge for a Story of the Month nomination with just that bit more work put into it.

So that is our round-up of FM Stories for this week. I hope that you enjoyed this and if your story was included take any feedback on board, as to how you can improve your technique. I am by no means saying I am a good story writer myself and instead am just offering some advice, so don’t take it badly if you feel against what I have said as remember it is not anyone else’s opinion it is just mine. We all enjoy reading these stories and plenty of others, as they are all good for their own reasons. Be sure to keep writing, working hard and your story will also be included in FMSW and maybe even might get a future Story of the Month nomination!
