In a few months it will be time to say goodbye to FM13 and say hello to FM14. Sports Interactive will probably add a touch here and there, add a couple of new features, but if you think you have a really good idea that will improve the game, how do you make sure that it is heard? Having control over whether your players dive or not would by a cool addition.

As manager we should have the possibility for make "team-talk" to the players which is substituted off the field. Ex: You have a yellow card, don't want you to get sent off. ex: You played like crap! ex: need you fit for the next match also.

It's become a little trendy to start promoting assistant managers up to the big seat once their seniors have moved on, Barcelona being the main reference. I don't think many people (anyone?) knew who Tito Vilanova was until he was appointed manager; it would be nice if some prior history with the club was offered where by the current clubs players see you as Jesus reincarnate but everyone else hasn't even heard your name.

Introduce medical centres in clubs as an independent facility similar to training grounds.
It's OK having 5 star coaching but if your grounds are 2 star you will suffer for it. I propose a similar set up for the medical center, e.g. a star rating on physios, and on the center's: size, and quality. Within reason of course, as however good your physios, a broken bone will still take a set time to heal but in the same way that a specialist takes less time than a physio. A better medical center should equal less healing time and decreased frequency for injuries.

While searching for staff, we should be able to filter based on scouting knowledge as well. For example, if I want a scout with knowledge about the players in French leagues, the only thing I can do to find one is filter based on nationality or where he is based. But sometimes there could be a Belgian, Dutch or African scout with the desired scouting knowledge as well.

One thing I would really love to see in the new FM which is regens that are actually related to current football players. It would be unrealistic for everyone to have a kid that plays football, but it would be cool to see a player with the surname Rooney, Messi or Ronaldo once in a while.

Discussion: Football Manager 2014 New Features we'd like to see

However, its very difficult to holiday a season away- which again, a lot of us busy guys do- we can do the transfers, set up the team, then let the ass-man get on with the job.
I want to propose that when holidaying you can assign team selections to different competitions. I always play a youth team with positive important matches, and an experienced, consistent team in the Prem.
So as part of the holiday selection, there should be a selection of the different competitions you will be playing in that year, and choose a team selection (&even tactic along with it) that the ass-man uses for that competition, "wherever possible"
Love the website, love the work people!
1: Maybe player's morale can be affected by their performances or another player being picked over him and that player being fairly inconsistent or poor form.
2: Maybe the user could add their favourite players before starting a game.
3: Maybe the manager could add their own philosophies to their profile or their favourite moments of their career.
4: Maybe the manager could talk to their country's specific FA (club/international/national) about improving the countries overall youth system.
5: The manager should be able to nominate their club's stadium as the host venue of a competition.
6: The manager should be able to nominate their nation (or assist in) for an international competition.
7: If the manager's club is struggling with attendance, maybe the manager could ask the board to lower matchday prices to try and gain more fans to watch matches.
8: Maybe the manager could ask fans for help in deciding potential signings.
9: The manager should be able to hire/fire a supporter's spokesperson and a press officer.
10: The manager should be able to decide on a potential squad for the next season
11: The manager should be able to have a staff shortlist.
12: I feel that (like Luis Suarez), if a player is unsettled and the club refuse to sell him, the player should be able to take the club to court.

1. i think injury proneness should be able to be decreased by good medical staff and taking better care of the players physic.

8. as manager you should be able to argue with the fourth official about any decisions and if you are overly aggressive maybe sent to the stands.
9. you should be able to let your assistant manager take control of matches if you want to go to watch a potential target play or just if something has come instead of having to go on holiday.
10. maybe have a facility where if a player is really tired they could have massages which could increase the fitness levels but would resort in a miss in training.
11. You should be able to choose your training equipment for your team and purchase them out of a set budget at your club and maybe ask the players themselves about which ones they are interested in.
12. i think like how you see in real life spectacular goals they do not occur as often as they should on the game.
13. If you bring on a sub he should a chance of turning the game around like how Hernandez did for Man Utd last season on a numerous amount of occasions.
TV deals for different countries
so, if I am in England, I could send my club to Cuba or Greenland or something in an attempt to get a larger TV deal for my club because my clubs matches get picked for TV there
or, for, say a big CL match, I'd like to see which countries are watching my match over, say, El Clasico...
and your TV income is dependant on that. If you are a big club in a big league, it is obviously important to break into China/Japan/Korea and so on
but, if I am a smaller league, I might want to play a whole bunch of tiny countries
which get skipped over by the big leagues
so, as Hajduk, instead of going to Asia, I'd go to Cuba, so as to garner a following

2. Big teams can have their 2-3 most popular songs in the game. At least have different generic sound bytes as opposed to just flat crowd noise with raised cheers at a goal.
3. Not sure if this is a feature yet or not: Have players come back to training camp overweight for lazier players and others in top shape from the get go.
4. Have injury prone players develop into less injury prone over the years with good training (but always have the chance this cannot develop for realism)

What about a optional "social mode" in the game? something like FIFA Manager (but better) where you can spend the money you earn and create a social life outside football that the media would bring up from time-to-time. Or something like NBA2k11 where your popularity could be raised by investing in (for example) an animal shelter.
I would also like to see a picture of the stadium where my team plays and maybe a picture of my office where the office could be part of the menu - you could also have a map inside the office to view your city.
Fans playing a bigger role would also be fun - there's a big difference from Fenerbache and Galatasaray fans to other fan bases, and it would be awesome to "feel the preassure" from demanding fans.
