FM19 Tactics: itsZdan’s 4-2-4

This tactic has been built to be a lower intensity tactic while still being effective.


The Wingbacks are the creative force on this tactic, specially on the Anchor variant, on the Volante variant the midfield will often carry the ball forward while on the other one the team will be inclined to just ignore midfield

The Wingers job is to simply provide for the strikers, the strikers on the other hand have a multitude of things they should do, they are set to False 9 to close up the game between your midfield and the attack while being more mobile than the Deep Lying Forward.

Set pieces are done but the attacking throw ins are VERY risky, if you dont feel confortable with them then just rever it to default

When to use the tactics? Volante variant in most games, the Anchor variant is used to either defend a result or against a team that is much better than yours OR a team that is just sitting back and trying to counter you, this way you also sit back and wait for them
