Knight's Tiki Taka Style

Welcome to my first ever FM23 tactic upload here, we go with a very commonly used formation the 4231. I have spent several days tweaking this to a level where I am finally happy to release it for you all to use.


Mentality is Positive but you can change this down depending who you are facing, I currently keep it on Positive and if I really need to in the last 10 minutes of play drop it down to defend to keep the lead.

In Possession, I like my teams keeping possession as much as possible. So Short passing, Dribble less and Play Out Of Defence is key. If you need to keep more possession then drop to Much Shorter Passing. Also I like to player with a bit of pace on the ball so I opted with Slightly Higher Tempo, I wouldn't go any more as it will ruin the tactic and you could end up with very tired players. Also if you seen to need to rest players knock it Tempo to Standard, it helps with fitness. I have the team whipping crosses in and working the ball into the box to get as much shots on target. Also we are playing fairy Narrow (This helps in defence with Trap Inside).

In Transition, the Keeper will distribute to full backs and centre backs. This is great with Playing out of defence. We are using counter-press and counter.

Out Of Possession, Higher Defensive line, High Press, and Close Down much more will try and win the ball back as quick as possible. We step up more and set traps inside (remember we're playing fairly narrow). We also prevent short GK distribution.

Sweeper Keeper: Quite standard SK on support. Acts as a 3rd man in defence in possession but sits in area out of possession.

Wing Backs: Both Right and Left side are on support both will sit narrower, cross from deep and aim for the far post.

Ball Playing Defenders: Standard on Defend. Both defenders needs to be good with passing to work well. If not maybe drop the left side one as a Centre Defender.

Mezzala: On Support and dribbles more with the ball to make important play in the half spaces.

Carrilero: on Support but a very key part of the tactic. This guy is the back bone to the whole squad.

Inside Forward: On Standard Support, Just does what a inside forward would do, cuts inside and attacks from the right.

Attacking Midfielder: On Support and gets further forward and move into channels, This one is another key area as hes there with the striker and acting as a back for them.

Inverted Winger: On Support and Stays Wider and gets further forward, This player will get goals and sets up assists. As long as he's got good stats.

Advanced Forward: On attack, he's the key man up top and will fire home goals left right and centre.
