All tests were done by holidaying the season so by managing yourself you should get even better results.

The Tests

Southampton, Tottenham, PSG & Man UTD

I chose these teams as the first time I got to see the amazing work of Pochettino was when he began managing in the Premier League with Southampton. He then moved to Tottenham guiding them to a Champions League Final and is the current manager of PSG a team he played for during his career. He is the current favourite to become the full time manager of Man UTD in the summer of 2022 so with all this in mind, these were the teams I chose to test the tactic with.

Formation
The tactic is based on Pochettino's favoured 4231 tactic. High pressing. intense, hard working teams are what he creates but he also manages to have an attractive style of play when in possession of the ball. His style focuses on attacking with the wide players moving inside to support the lone striker and chip in with the teams goals. The attacking midfielder is key as they look for the runs of the two wide players and the striker and play the through balls to create chances.

Both fullbacks are attacking with the one on the right side generally given the more attacking freedom due to the amount the right winger cuts inside opening up the space for the overlap.
